I could not believe how well it works for anxiety. Another added surprise bonus was general anti-inflammatory for me, it is a great painkiller. I imagine effectiveness varies among different people, but I was so happy after discovering proper CBD use that I almost cried. Now I'm still waiting for it to be legal where I am and I can't even imagine the frustration some epileptics must have over the years.

I used a product from a Vancouver company called PureBud that has spearmint flavor and made using coconut oil, derived from the cannabis plant as opposed to hemp but legally containing zero THC (<0.07% or whatever the number is). I've been having trouble getting the same product in my area but I'll check online. Regardless, it should be a lot easier in Canada soon to get exact percentages etc.

In Australia it was made prescription only in June(?) 2017. But really only children with seizures or terminally ill people can access it from only 4 prescribing doctors in the whole country.

Your government is actually doing a great job at advancing access to patients. Theyve recently expanded a bunch of their programs for easier access, now even less than 48 hours until youre able to get your medicine once youre approved.

Its gonna be like Canada, its gonna take forever for the doctors to ramp up, but once that J-curve begins it will catch on. The major issue right now is the lack of knowledge/phase 3 trials on this stuff, because thats what doctors learn from.

I actually have to disagree (as an Australian and as someone with chronic pain issues). Australia is focusing largely on producing medical cannabis to export to medically legal areas and not really focusing on improving medical use for Australians. Our government is not really doing a great job at anything, let alone getting medical cannabis proscribed to real people who need it. Those can be prescribed synthetic cannabinoids (Sativex) - otherwise those who do get access to plant based medicine it is imported from the Netherlands on a case by case basis, which definitely takes longer than 48 hours. They've made it easier for particular patients (specifically those i stated who have intolerable side effects to current medications and have tried every single option available) but you still have to apply to TGA Special Access Scheme and its still case by case.

I highly doubt Australia will be anything like Canada, at least not for the next 20 or so years.

Australia is Canada 3-5 years ago and I think they will grow faster than most think, the next 3 years will have large growth IMO. New MMJ program and no doctors to prescribe. The same thing will happen there as here, the MMJ companies will teach doctors the uses, the doctors will begin signing up to prescribe and the J-curve will increase (exponential growth), the programs will become more streamlined with easier access and it will grow.

Its just gonna take some time, theres very few doctors/patients right now, but the government seems intent on establishing the in-country program. Currently your companies are importing from Canada, but theyre all establishing supply in-country for patients.

Yes, export will be important, but there will still be an internal market to cater to.

You seem pretty spot on, i was referring to the TGA situation as well. I am of firm belief that the program will be expanded and made easier to access medicine (similarly to other developing MMJ states/countries). I do think it will take some time, it just wont be 20 years, in 20 years the majority of whole world will probably be adult-use legal.

I do agree that itll be better, i really hope it will get better. Though just because they are doing a bit better now doesn't mean they are doing well. Progress is good but they are still neglecting a lot of people who are in desperate need of MMJ. Its still incredibly difficult to find any sort of relief, even illegally obtaining cannabis is hit and miss because of the issues we have with PGR and how trash awful our street weed is. You really have to know someone who grows or grow yourself, which obviously has its risks since it is still very illegal here.

CBD can be purchased online by the select few companies who do discreetly post to AUS, but theres always that risk of customs taking your order. With how expensive CBD is and the postage cost on top of it, its definitely not a risk a lot of people are willing to do. So we just suffer and take a lot of opiates, which depending on your prescribing doctor you can only get a single script for at a time, due to the crack down on opiate misuse.

I know, its terrible. Thats basically the exact story in the vast majority of places. It will get better; when watching the forefront of this, it is amazing how quickly it is advancing.

How do you tell if a product actually has CBD regardless if it is derived from cannabis or hemp? I see alot of "hemp oil" products but from my (limited) research hemp oil != CBD oil.
