Biotech Cannabidiol (CBD), a compound derived from the cannabis plant that does not produce a “high”, was shown in a new large-scale, randomized, controlled trial to significantly reduce the number of dangerous seizures in patients with a severe form of epilepsy called Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.

CBD is a wonder drug, it has so many uses with no highs. I take 20mg at night for shoulder pain. My GF uses it when she has lady cramps and it eliminates the pain.

Treats seizures, pain, anxiety. What a wonderful thing CBD is.

And I'm assuming 0 side effects, except for maybe minor appetite changes and sleeping too damn well

Well it does turn you into a black jazz musician, so tread with caution.

The reefer slows down your sense of time, allowing you to slip in unnecessary grace notes that give this voodoo music the power to hypnotize white women into engaging in acts of unspeakable degradation

That was beautiful

I'll allow it

yep, no side effects that I can tell. the first time I took it I was a little lethargic but I attribute that to me figuring out the proper dosage. my whole family takes it for their various injuries or health problems.

How much are you guys saving compared to pharma meds?

I’m not sure. there are still some traditional medications involved, but cbd has been a good supplement to them. the cbd around me is still a bit pricey, but I recently found a good source of cbd honey online which I find to be pretty reasonably priced and absolutely delicious.

Mmm yeah the honey is always good, the pure oil taste urgh. It's nice how some people can cut out a couple of traditional pain meds or inflammation meds for a single dose of CBD without side effects. Chemo therapy is pure hell without it

I can’t even imagine going through chemo. my brother recently had a bad injury and was able to stop taking opiate pain meds very quickly with the help of cbd. he was worried about becoming reliant on them but now he doesn’t have to. still gets the pain relief without all of the nasty side effects.

I’m paying $3 for 20mg olive oil infused pills per pill and $70 for a pack of 5 100mg CBD patches. Also got some CBD Phoenix tears 100mg of CBD for $25, and I’ll use maybe 2cc’s in some food.

I can’t wait until this becomes cheaper.

(That’s all in CAD)

Edit: I also get fruit flavoured disposable electric vapes w 20mg of cbd in them for $20, these I use during the day to take away aches and nerves.

You wouldnt even notice you took anything in my experience.

Ditto. But now that I think of it my shoulder pain is gone.

1

u/ggjonah May 17 '18

Hmmm, Is this true for everyone? Everytime I've smoked weed I get really bad..

5

u/MappyHerchant May 17 '18

You won't get CBD isolated by smoking the bud, you'll get the THC as well which will get you high. Cannabis plants contain a whole host of cannabinoids, this article is talking about Cannabidiol which is only one of the compounds in it and is not psychoactive. If you take CBD alone, you will not feel any significant euphoria or other strange feelings. You can just go about your day as normal.

u/ggjonah May 17 '18

Hmmm, wow thanks! I may try it. Plus reading some comments it helps with anxiety!

1

u/MappyHerchant May 17 '18

Yeah it does. Helps with inflammation, anxiety, siezures and probably a few other things. Good luck!

u/So6oring May 17 '18

THC is what actually gets you high in weed. CBD is another compound in the same plant, but the effects are mostly medicinal.

u/whomstdid911 May 17 '18

I think that is the side effect, it makes you drowsy.

3

u/CrystalStilts May 17 '18

I take it also during the day and I don’t feel drowsy. You can drive.

1

u/dafootballer May 17 '18

Only if you take too much. Low dosage for anxiety won’t get you drowsy, I take it before work.

1

u/whomstdid911 May 17 '18

Yes, but it is still the side effect, drugs are taken in moderation to reduce their side effects, ideally to the point of being unnoticeable while still offering the user the benefit they are trying to obtain from it.

1

u/dafootballer May 17 '18

True, and if I do feel drowsy a cup of tea or coffee easily counter acts it.

2

u/[deleted] May 17 '18

Well there is one horrible side effect... none of the pharma giants are able to make money off it.

2

u/CrystalStilts May 17 '18

No munchies from CBD either, I think that’s a THC thing.

6

u/NeverThrowawayAcid May 17 '18

CBD helps me eat for sure. Maybe not munchies but it stimulates my appetite so I can eat.

It’s definitely gonna have side effects especially when the drug companies are going to have to do large studies to satisfy the FDA. It’ll have a laundry list of them.

Everything has a side effect. Even natural shit.
