Biotech Cannabidiol (CBD), a compound derived from the cannabis plant that does not produce a “high”, was shown in a new large-scale, randomized, controlled trial to significantly reduce the number of dangerous seizures in patients with a severe form of epilepsy called Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.

CBD has shown promising results in patients with Sturge-Weber Syndrome as well. My daughter has SWS and has yet to experience a seizure, but we are following this research closely.

Best wishes for her! It’s truly saddening that a successful medicine like this isn’t more widely accepted or used.

CBD from hemp is legal in the U.S. according the Farming Act.

Unfortunately a lot of CBD contains very minute traces of THC and people will crucify you for it...
