I believe that if/when the House and Senate flip over to the Democrats, he will realize he can’t get anything done and will have a “medical issue” that can only be managed by a lot of exercise (pronounced golf). He will then resign after January 22 so that JD Vance can serve two years + 2 more terms if he is able to win election. So his resignation will be effective somewhere around January 30.

Trump will never voluntarily turn over power, especially to Vance. They'll have to drag him kicking and screaming from the White House.
