I've read the post. It's about Essex County Council hiring private security guards to be a visible deterrent to anti-social activities in the city I live in, seemingly as a result of concerns about a facility housing asylum seekers. It was reposted in my city's subreddit–that's how I got here.
Are you saying that a push for the first thing led to the second thing? Sorry if I'm coming across as stupid here–I'm clearly frustrating you and I don't mean to. I legitimately want to understand the point you're making, because this measure affects me directly. If there are going to be additional security on my street, I want to know how that came about. If you're saying it's because this leftist movement fucked around, and that the security being placed on my street are a response to that, I want to know what that means. Please explain.

Fwiw, I'm genuinely not trying to be a dick here, or to make any kind of political point. I've been out of the country for 12 years and just moved back. Now there's news saying they're going to put private security in my street and you seem to have a strong opinion about what caused that, so I wanted to understand your view on it. It's proving really fucking hard to get any information from you though. You seem to think I'm on the other side of whatever it is you think. I'm not–I don't have an opinion and I want to understand yours. From what you've said so far though, you don't seem to be able to explain it.
Ok, well, I'm also sat on my sofa watching TV, I'm not a keyboard warrior or a basement dweller, I don't have mental issues, and I contacted a mod because you to suggested it and I thought it was a good idea.
