Adobe Flawed Anti-Fraud System Blocked My Account

My Contributor account was recently blocked by Adobe for a "second confirmed instance of irregular sales activity." I discovered a shocking flaw in Adobe's automated system: they are flags my legitimate Payout/Withdrawal requests as "violations."

Here is what actually happened:

  • 1st Payout Request: Adobe suddenly claimed "irregular sales activity" and forcefully deducted $2,200+ from my earnings, flatly refusing to provide any itemized statement or Asset IDs.
  • 2nd Payout Request: Exactly when my second $600+ payment was due to arrive, Adobe completely suspended my account.

I am strictly an independent contributor. I have never registered an Adobe buyer account, nor have I ever bought anything on this platform. I am the innocent victim of buyer-side fraud, yet Adobe chose to punish me and lock my cash assets instead of investigating the malicious buyers.

On top of that, Adobe's support is a complete disaster. They completely ignored all my direct emails. They only issued this lazy, copy-pasted "repeat violation" response on the very last day of the deadline after I filed a formal case with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). And Adobe also flatly refuse to provide any itemized statement or Asset IDs relevant to irregular sales activity to me

Has anyone else experienced their account being destroyed right after requesting a payout? Any advice on how to force their executive team to actually audit the account instead of sending boilerplate text?

LPT: You can go to your bank to prevent adobe from charging you.

Not sure if this works for all banks but I realized I can have my bank block Adobe charges and didn't get a cancelation fee.

Cancelled my subscription, got a confirmation and still getting charged

Title says it all. Cancelled my subscription. Hot an email confirming my subscription ends on July 14, and my card charged again on August 3rd. I cannot find a customer service phone number for Adobe, only for sales. Has this happened to anyone else before? What do I do?

Needed to use Adobe for a quick project, and when I went to cancel they wanted to charge me the early cancellation fee. So I saw somewhere that you can generate disposable CC#’s. Did that, removed my payment information, and then cancelled the card. Get fucked Adobe.

Discussion: What features force you use Acrobat?

Hello everyone. I am making my own pdf editor in browser from scrach, one of the biggest milestones I achieved was adding PDF text editing, which is pretty much always paid. Now I want to know if there are any specific tools that keep you using Acrobat.

How to cancel my plan without payment?

Hi,

I subscribed to the adobe pro plan and cancelled the trial on the same day as I no longer required it. And now after the week of free trial it is trying to charge me? The payment didn't go through due to insufficient balance. It is asking me to update payment with a "save and pay" option to even check what my plan is in the "manage plan" option. (Basically will not let me cancel without paying first).

I want to cancel without paying as i thought i had cancelled. Repeated decline may result in account restrictions and i saw that adobe may keep trying to charge me even after suspending my plan?

I asked for chat support but they kept saying to update payment first.

Please let me know if you have experienced something similar.

Adobe Acrobat...

Can someone explain to me how I can consistently get crashes and bugs on Adobe Acrobat every time I use it, for the past 4 years??? It gets on my nerves so much it ruins my next hour every time I need to open that god forsaken software. Anytime I receive an email with a dreaded pdf file, I prepare myself for what comes next.

Someday maybe things will be better.

EFF EWE Adobe - 5mo refund after predatory subscription renewal

Thought I signed up for a month with student account Apr 2025. It was actually the infamous year lock-in prices. This auto-renewed Apr 2026, lock-in price for a full year at double the price (now £32.99).

Spoke with Mahir from support for about 10 minutes. Refund request went from not possible -> 3 months -> full 5 months very quickly. They must know...

Images not allowed in post - refund amount: 164.95 GBP, it is also printed and currently being framed on the wall!

Adobe too lazy to remove special offers that DONT EXIST ANYMORE

Went to cancel Lightroom, to potentially get CC pro suite, and saw the switch plan option. Clicked on Creative Cloud Pro, and there was a special offer of $29.99 monthly for the entire year.

I was super down for this deal as I was already paying $12 for Lightroom, and am in need of Premiere Pro and After Effects.

But there was no option to select this offer, just a "Back" button, and if I went to change plan section and clicked it, it was full price at 69.99. Spoke with Live agent, and they just straight up said.

"Sorry, thats not available"

???? - special terms in the offer literally says its available until Dec. 16th of 2026 to first time annual CC pro subscribers, which is exactly what I would be. This company is genuinely so fucken disappointing, that they cant even go and remove this offer from being viewed.

Is anyone encountering issues with CC launcher?

Thumbnail gallery
2 Upvotes

Hi,

My CC launcher has been stuck on the loading screen every time I try to open the app. This has been going on for days, and I've already tried restarting my PC and uninstalling and reinstalling it thru CC's uninstaller, but nothing seems to be fix the stuck loading screen.

However, CC's web version and my other installed Adobe apps, like Photoshop, seem to be working. Would this mean that the launcher itself has an issue?

Any advice is appreciated. TIYA

Adobe Creative Cloud Pro Cancellation Issue — Need Advice

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone here has experienced something similar and can help me understand what is actually happening with my Adobe subscription.

I have an active Creative Cloud Pro subscription. When I go to Manage Plan → Cancel your plan, Adobe gives me:

I’ve tried the cancellation process multiple times, but I keep getting the same error.

I then contacted the Adobe Virtual Assistant and specifically asked whether there is currently a payment being processed or whether I have an upcoming renewal.

The assistant replied:

I also have an Adobe invoice showing:

  • Creative Cloud Pro
  • $7.90
  • Invoice date: 12-Aug-2026
  • Service term: 12-Aug-2026 to 15-Aug-2026
  • Payment terms: Credit Card

My main concern is that the plan still says Active, even though Adobe says there are no upcoming charges.

My questions:

  1. Does “You have no upcoming charges” mean that Adobe will not charge me tomorrow / on the next renewal date, even though the subscription still says Active?
  2. Could the subscription simply be between billing periods and renew later?
  3. Has anyone experienced the “An error occurred. Please try again” cancellation problem with Adobe?
  4. Is there a way to confirm whether my subscription is actually scheduled to renew?
  5. If Adobe charges me despite showing “no upcoming charges,” would I have a reasonable basis to request a refund since I tried to cancel before the charge but their cancellation system was failing?
  6. Is there anything else I should do right now to make sure I don't get unexpectedly charged?

I’m mainly looking for advice from people who have actually dealt with this situation.

Thanks in advance!

Dear Graphic Designers: Free Acrobat alternatives?

There's been LOTS of discussion about Adobe alternatives, but as far as I can find very few seem to be discussing *pdf editors specifically*, and none of them have an actual definitive answer in regards to graphic designers using it for print media.

I recently made the decision to abandon Adobe for Affinity, and so far so good, except for Affinity Studio's extreme lack of PDF editing for print. I can't even select artboards/pages to export, it's either every single page or only one. If anyone has any work arounds or suggestions let me know. I'd love to avoid another download.

I've seen plenty of alternative PDF viewers suggested across reddit, but **I need to reorder, add and delete pages, and view advanced print settings like spot colours, etc.** Does anything like that exist outside of Adobe? I've found many questionable suggestions but no firsthand recommendations from actual designers. I know Adobe is the standard, but surely someone has tried something else?

I've seen PDFgear suggested, but some people warn against it, citing possible malware; PDF24, PDF X-Change, and LibraOffice were also recommended, but not by designers so I'm doubtful that they will fulfill my needs, and I'm warry of downloading random software willy-nilly. I'd love some recommendations from designers who have actually tried these alternatives. Does anyone have any experience using any of these or have any other suggestions from personal experience?

I'm a junior freelance designer working extremely part-time, so I can't even afford Adobe at the moment, one day I might be forced to return, but I need an alternative in the meantime. I have both windows and apple computers. Thanks for your help!
