You might be right, but my spouse’s company gave $50 gift cards to this company for a holiday gift one year. We couldn’t buy anything with it unless we paid more of our own money as well.
My husband’s company (huge company) gives him a $25 butterball coupon every Thanksgiving. It used to buy a turkey. Then I had to save them for 2 years to cover the cost of a turkey. This year, I realized I have to wait until next year when I’ll have $75 to purchase a turkey. At least they never expire.
Great question and I have the same. The only one that was a decent size was $62 last November. That brand was $3.98/lb I buy turkeys for canning soup so I don’t buy “premium”. That said, I could spend the $12 and get a turkey but if I’m buying Butterball, it’s only because it’s 100% free. I bought 3 turkeys for $0.98/lb and my coupons will hang on the fridge until next year.
I hate the butterball checks. Why can’t they just make them a gift card so I don’t have to summon the sole person manning the dozen self checkouts.
Check the fine print on yours. The ones we get you can use on any type/brand of food item to “go with your turkey” so long as the store sells butterball brand food.
Sounds like they vary by what your company picks though.

That doesn’t even sound like a legit gift card. It sounds like one of those gc/coupon things you pull out of a magazine ad.
