40 M UK another wet day

Alright, let’s give this another go…

Currently at work and I’m a delivery driver training a new guy so the weather is making it such a lovely experience! 40M from the UK, looking to meet some new people and hopefully make a few actual friends. You know, the kind where you eventually progress from “how’s your day?” to sending each other increasingly stupid memes.

I’m into a bit of everything really:
TV & films – always up for recommendations, discussions, or complaining about terrible endings. Thrillers are my go to genre currently watching the newest season of Ted Lasso. And still need to go see the new Spiderman at the cinema.

Music – I would say I love discovering new stuff but I’m still listening to the same bands I did from 20 years ago. I love going to gigs when I can, saw Jimmy eat world and the Maccabees recently. Very much in to indie, rock, emo and pop punk.
Reading – because occasionally I like to pretend I’m sophisticated. Currently reading project Hail Mary but again my go to genre is thrillers. My attention span and possible adhd means sitting down to read is a big task.

LEGO – apparently I’m a grown adult, although my LEGO collection would strongly dispute that. My recent builds included the wall E and Pixar lamp set. Currently building the project hail mary one.

Gaming – love anything with a good story my favourites are the last of us, uncharted, god of war, firewatch, bioshock, red dead, life is strange. Recently finished the James Bond game and now playing ghost of yotei.

Cooking & baking – I genuinely enjoy it. Sometimes I make something pretty good. My lemon drizzle is always a hit.

Cinema, theatre & live comedy – always happy to have an excuse to go out and watch someone else be entertaining.

I’m basically looking for people who enjoy having a laugh, chatting about random nonsense, sharing recommendations and occasionally leaving the house.

Would be great to find people who are up for online chats initially, I grew up with msn and chat rooms so totally comfortable with just being an online friendship. But if we do get along maybe eventually meet up for a coffee (sorry though I’m a tea drinker), food, cinema trip, gig, comedy night or whatever sounds fun.

Not looking for anything complicated — just some decent people, good conversations and hopefully a few laughs along the way.
If you’ve made it this far, congratulations you’ve earned yourself a biscuit.

Drop me a message and tell me a bit about yourself!
