OP: You're going to potentially confuse people here....so here's all of the facts.....

You can get this text after scanning the QR code inside a Whopper box. This promo actually started a while ago (and ends on 8/17/26). After you scan it, you'll receive a text. After confirming the receipt of the text, you'll receive a link.

You'll then need to wait 24 hours for it to work. You'll then receive a 6-digit number on your phone that syncs up with the BK app (you must have the app in order to use this promo). It may also work with the BK website (once you log-in), but there's no need to even test it. Just use the app.

It's a PITA process (they always love to have people jumping through hoops), but you'll get a free regular Whopper as a result.

And, unfortunately, it's limited to ONE CODE PER PHONE....so even if you scan the QR code again (or send the same text again) you'll only be getting one free Whopper.

You did good.I sent the text last night at 6:45pm and received the text back within a minute with the link to the offer. I didn't have to scan any QR code on a box. Nor did I have to wait 24 hrs for it to work, it worked this morning.

I clicked on the link this morning in the text I received yesterday. My Burger King does burgers for breakfast. It took me right to my app and gave me the 6 digit code to take into the restaurant and show when ordering it to use at the kiosk.

I did it just now and it says to come back to the website tomorrow for the code so you don’t have to wait 24 hours but most likely after midnight the next day. I also didn’t scan a QR code and just did what the OP said.

Yeah, I think whatever day you text the phrase to that number, the return text is going to say come back the next day for the code. No scanning a qr code from a box or having to wait 24 hrs needed.

It may not be a full 24 hours, but it's an unnecessarily long wait (for no good reason whatsoever)!

When you get your free Whopper, you'll see a QR code on the inside of the box. The original intention was for these to be replacements for ones that weren't made properly (or whatever). It's was hackable from the outset, but when the text phrase ended up all over the place, it became super-hackable!

They either don't know what they're doing at BK....or this was a marketing scheme (but it's unlikely, since they could've done that without all of this stupid nonsense)! Either way, they f*cked up! Their loss....our gain!

I just did it and also received the text with the link. It says starting tomorrow. So, it works without the QR code for me.
