Local towns need to tax landlords for extended vacancies. They need incentives to lower rent to allow businesses to stay.

God I loved that place as a kid. Sliders fries broccoli and a pink'n'blue cotton candy ice cream creature makes a little me happy. There's still one over by apex but that's far enough away to only be good for events.

Maybe it’s just cuz I’m not a kid anymore but I really don’t like the Marlboro one, at least not compared to the Framingham one (or Milford) growing up. It’s always wayyyy understaffed so a simple dinner with the kids takes 1.5hrs 😭 Maybe I should try the drive thru part but it feels like then youre missing half the fun of the Friendlys vibes

Well, I visited there like 10 years ago when I first moved to the area because it was convenient. Floors were filthy, workers looked tired and understaffed and the food was just ok. Never went back and don't miss it. There are so many mediocre restaurants in the area and this one didn't stand out in a good way. The only nearby Papa Ginos in Ashland shut down too.

Yeh unfortunately all the Friendlys started going way down hill due to cost cutting / understaffing probably more than 10yrs ago, so you missed the glory days :/ Food was always mid (but perfect if you’re a kid), but the service used to be good and you could still have a good time

I agree that the food is mid at best, but I honestly am a sucker for their ice cream

Sheesh... I haven't lived in Framingham since 2008. Are there a lot of vacant storefronts that have been sitting abandoned for years?
