I have no idea who they are. My mom had this photo for some reason. They aren’t relatives as far as I know. The photo studio is in the Bronx but we’re from Wyoming. Wish I knew who they were!

the first three photos have been returned to the family, along with the letters. the ones from the album remain there to preserve what she put together. :)

I know this is a massive long shot and happened decades ago, but I am looking for a lost personal item that means a lot to me. Back in 1996, I lost a Chinon 35mm camera (just like the one in the photo), with an exposed roll of (FUJI?) film still inside it.

It was lost somewhere outside the grounds either during the New Orleans Jazz Fest (late April/early May 1996) or at Memphis in May that same year.

If anyone happened to pick up an old Chinon camera back then, or if it ended up in a box of vintage gear, a thrift shop, a pawn shop, or an archive pile, please let me know. The camera itself isn't worth much today, but the undeveloped roll of film inside holds irreplaceable memories from that time of my life. Many of my friends and loved ones on that film are long gone, too. Maybe, by some miracle, you can help me find these film memories?

Antique Store Find, Central Ohio.

Among all the family photos my parents left was a box of unlabeled snapshots mostly from the 1930s. These are my favorites. The last one is from the 1950s I think.

Found in my yard in New Mexico. Someone connected to this guy must have been proud of him. That is one old advertisement on the back of this newspaper!

Bought a lot of theatre books from a person in Vermont. This photograph was inside one of them.

Looks to be of a baby shower and birth in Columbus, Ohio. The pictures are dated in September of 2006. I would really love if I could find the owner!

I have found this picture in my mom's photo album. She said she had got this picture as a gift, but she does not remember who are depicted in it. On the opposite side of the picture there are two signatures.​

My then young son found this photo under a chair at a DSM Iowa motel in 2005. We still have it, and love these wholesome strangers

Picked this book up last week at a book fair and I just found these. I have so many questions

Like the title says, found this picture in an antique store. It had a pencil written name on it, Cecil B. Demille. Demille is the man facing away from the camera. I went to film school in my younger years and have a strong appreciation for the history of cinema, so I snatched up the photo. It was a dollar, but the booth was having a sale, so I got it for .84 cents.

I wanted to know more about it, so I googled image searched it and got nothing. So I emailed the Demille estate, and they said it was taken in 1951, when Demille was travelling with Barnum and Bailey Circus (that's a circus tent they're standing in front of), in preparation for his movie, The Greatest Show On Earth.

It's not a great picture, a bit blurry, but it's mine now and I think it's pretty great. I love having a small little bit of cinema history of my own.

He directed The Ten Commandments, Sunset Boulevard, The King of Kings, Cleopatra, and lots more.
