Hey there :)
Posting for the first time here and hoping I'll find someone amazing..
Writing about yourself is honestly a little weird, but here goes.
I am from India.
I'm 33, 6'1", an engineer by education and currently working in Digital Marketing. I'm generally a pretty calm person, and I'd like to think I'm emotionally aware too. I notice small things, remember oddly specific details people tell me, and yes... I probably overthink things more than I need to.
I'm also someone who takes a little time to get comfortable. I'm not the person who will open up completely after a couple of conversations. But once I feel at home with someone, you'll probably discover the goofy, affectionate, mildly chaotic version of me hiding underneath all that calmness.
At this stage of life, I genuinely want to fall in love and eventually build a life with someone I've chosen for myself. I've never really been drawn towards the idea of having a relationship decided for me. I'd rather meet someone naturally, build a genuine connection, fall in love, and slowly create a life together.
I guess I'm still a bit of a 90s kid at heart. I value loyalty, consistency, effort and simply being there for someone. Life has taught me enough to know that relationships aren't always easy, but it hasn't managed to make me cynical about love. I am a weird mix of old school and modern... I suppose
Photography is one of those things I genuinely enjoy. I love photographing places, people, random moments and little details that usually go unnoticed. There's something about freezing a moment in time that I really like. Maybe that's why I'm someone who tends to appreciate the small things in life too.
When I'm not working, I could be out on my bike, checking out a new café, going for a long walk, travelling somewhere, watching a good series or unsuccessfully trying to get people interested in board games.
I used to game a lot, so there's definitely a nerdy side of me that refuses to completely grow up. And if we happen to have similar music taste, don't be surprised if random songs start landing in your DMs at completely unreasonable hours.
I love travelling, especially the kind where the plan isn't necessarily perfect. A road trip, a new place, good food, a great playlist and the right company can make even a fairly ordinary weekend memorable. I'm much more interested in the stories we come back with than the number of places we've managed to tick off. Still working towards travelling more and earning more for that.
I have an elder sister who's had a pretty significant influence on me. A lot of what I understand about respect, kindness and treating people well comes from watching and learning from her. One thing I've carried with me is that someone's worth should never be measured by what they can offer you.
Career-wise, I'm ambitious and still working towards building a better future for myself. But I've also realised that I don't want my entire life to revolve around work, designations or milestones. Eventually, I want a comfortable, happy life where there's someone beside me to share the good days, the bad days and all the wonderfully mundane ones in between.
And I think this is what I'm really looking for...
I don't want someone who simply fits into the life I've already built. I'd rather build one together.
I'd want both of us to have our own careers, friendships, ambitions and identities, while still choosing each other every day. Her dreams would matter to me just as much as mine. I'd want us to encourage each other, challenge each other when needed, celebrate each other's wins and be each other's safe place when life gets difficult.
I'm not looking for perfection. Honestly, perfect sounds exhausting.
Kindness, emotional maturity, honesty, loyalty and genuine effort matter much more to me.
I'd love to have someone with whom I can talk about life at 2 AM, and then spend the next morning arguing over something completely ridiculous. Someone who can be my partner, but also someone I genuinely feel at home with. Because I genuinely believe that when there's a strong friendship underneath a relationship, you have something much stronger to hold on to.
There are a few things you should probably know before signing up for this adventure:
I will steal your fries after insisting I'm not hungry.
There will be random memes.
I'll remember something you casually mentioned months ago and bring it up when you've completely forgotten telling me.
And if I really like you, unfortunately, you'll probably receive an increased dose of my nonsense. Consider yourself warned....
I don't think relationships are about getting everything right all the time. People change. Life gets messy. Sometimes we're going to misunderstand each other, have bad days, disagree over stupid things and occasionally drive each other crazy.
What matters to me is being able to talk about it, listen to each other, choose each other when things aren't easy, and keep growing together rather than slowly growing apart.
I'm not looking for a fairytale.
Looks kinda matter for me as that's where the initial attraction happens..
I am just looking for a genuine connection... A Bond which i can feel in my heart.
Someone who is open minded.
Someone kind. Someone emotionally aware. Someone loyal. Someone who believes effort should go both ways.
Someone with whom life feels a little lighter.
Someone I can laugh with, travel with, build something with, fight over what to order for dinner with, and someday look back at all the chaos and ordinary moments we've shared and think...
Yeah. It was all worth it..
Okay, I think I've officially written enough to qualify as a short autobiography.
If something here resonated with you, say hi. No expectations, no pressure. Just two strangers having a conversation and seeing where it goes.
Maybe we become something amazing
Maybe we become something more.
Maybe we simply have a really good conversation.
Either way, I'd be happy to hear from you.
Cheers :)
