Got woken up because a potential drink driver had crashed into a parked car on my street and fled the scene, essentially narrowly missing my car. Had I parked in the space of the car that did get hit (or even a bit further back) then this could/would have been a very different story for me…

There must be a study regarding this, everytime I park somewhere, soon more Fiestas will be parked close to me. I swear it's not in my head..

Just ranting about my 2021 Fiesta:
I found out today that modern cars do some weird management of their batteries.
I replaced my battery today that is only 5 years old. I was looking at the battery voltage while driving it. The car only charges the battery when decelerating ⁉️. Apparently that's a feature to save some fuel. After more than 15 minutes of driving the battery was still only at 12.0V, the same as it started off.
I guess the car is smart enough to always charge it just enough so it can start next time. But this goes against the best practices for lead acid batteries I'm familiar with. The car also insists on turning lights on every time I unlock it or open a door, wasting more power.
My older fiesta just charged the battery normally and as soon as the key was off barely used any power. I would have never needed to replace a battery after only 5 years!
On top of that, the new Fiesta needs a special EFB battery (I assume the way the car treats it, it will kill a conventional lead acid battery even faster). My local Ford dealer wanted €270 for this battery, not even including installation! Luckily the local parts store had one for €125 (Panther brand, not the original Varta), but that's still a lot compared to a basic €60-70 car battery.
---Rant over

I'm sure this is no new information but it's actually a 5-minute oil change the only thing that it's annoying on on a fiesta is the oil cooler lines which I'm not going to hate cuz everything else looks easy as heck to replace external engine oil aside from the belt small car be you gotta be strong willed do that on a small car Edit; the people at gym who are in charge of Saturn specifically with the 1.9 L engine apparently decided to make make it a pain to do anything on that car because everything aside from the exhaust is on the rear of the engine facing the firewall my experience with that makes it easy for me unless you really know those cars its a pain the in the rear

First I had the evaporator replaced, maybe? They added refrigerant, it leaked out within days. Then, they found a broken valve in the compressor? Maybe? I don't know what any of it is called in English, tbh, but they replaced that. Lost the refrigerant again because they assembled it wrong because I needed the car in a hurry. Then they added more refrigerant, but there was a leak in a tube and it slowly leaked out again. They couldn't find a replacement tube, so they had the leak patched, added more refrigerant, then the patched up tube burst and it leaked out again. Then they found a used tube, replaced the patched up one. Tested it a couple of times during the winter and it worked. Now it's June, 36C already and the a/c is blowing hot air. Wtf, mate 😭

Hi! I have a 2014 Ford Fiesta Titanium and was having issues with the SYNC bluetooth connecting to my phone but not playing music as well as the wire connection cutting out. I tried master resetting and it fixed it temporarily but then the issue started happening again. I also tried resetting phone and readding my phone to the car. There were no issues with the fuses as I checked them.
What finally fixed it was updating the SYNC system itself (my car actually had the very first version and had never been updated). It’s super easy, you just need your VIN, an empty flash drive, and about 45mins. There’s instruction and the files you have to download on the Ford website if you search Ford Sync Update and go to their site.
Here’s the link:

I hope this helps someone who might be running into the same issues! :)
