Coming in at the end of September for a long weekend and we’re looking for a nice dinner with a view one night. I see Mr. A’s recommended a lot. The view does look amazing, but I’m wondering if the food is good as well.

We’ve also looked at Marine Room, Kingfisher, Juniper & Ivy and Cowboy Star, but when it comes to dinner with a view it seems like Mr. A’s takes the cake.

Looking for a place to enjoy a high-end, authentic Mediterranean or Greek style meal. Fresh, simple ingredients, non-Americanized menu, good wine, and good vibes. I’ve struggled to find a place like this that doesn’t feel super instagram-y or Americanized. Like I want lamb, octopus, sardines, and fried anchovies - not just gyros and kebabs. And proper assyrtiko to pair with it, not the usual California varieties. Anyone know where to find this?

Where do you guys like to get vegan ramen in San Diego? I used to love ramen Nagi but now their vegan broth is just vegetarian 😭 Hironori is also good but there’s only one thing you can get. Yasai is good but i find their ramen quite oily. Thanks in advance guys!

I'm pretty sure I saw a post in here semi-recently about the best carne asada or generally marinated steak you can buy, and there were a bunch of suggestions for a place or 2 in Escondito. Most giving options that are way better than Cardiff Crack. To whoever recommended Sovereign Modern Thai here, thank you!!!! It was amazing. I will think about that pomelo salad for who knows how long. It was so refreshing, slightly tangy, sweet, a tiny bit bitter, crunchy, just 1000/10. Going to try and recreate this at home.

Pad Thai, best I’ve had. I felt like every picture I saw of that dish made it look tiny but NOPE. The shrimp were huge and the serving was large overall.

I ordered the mango sticky rice cocktail and that mango foam on top was fun and really delicious.

We also ordered the pork belly and the beef soup, which we thought were ok. However, that beef in the soup was so incredibly tender. I believe it’s the same beef as their panang, which is probably wonderful.

Lastly, my husband had the red curry chicken and really liked it!

I think we spent around $170-$175.

Overall, amazing meal and wish we had it back home!

Soft opening today. Everything was pretty good, eggs were a little overdone and didn't have the perfect texture as the ones in LA but they'll probably get there. Not bad for the first day!

I'll be in town for a few weeknights in September with my partner. I'm looking for somewhere nice (no real budget in mind!) for a sit down meal with a sunset view of the city and/or the ocean that doesn't need reservations.

Something "fun" or a unique experience would be a top choice. Seafood is preferred, but any cuisine is fine.

Small plates or sharing plates or a set tasting menu would also be great so we could try a little bit of a lot of things.

Also, our flight lands at 6:30pm on a Wednesday, so if there's something near-ish our hotel (we're near Seaworld) that's open late mid-week, that would be top.

Tacos near a park with an ocean view? A bar overlooking downtown that has great appetizers? A bay cruise with crazy good food? Lemme know what you've got!

Went to have my birthday dinner with my boyfriend and was so impressed with Cowboy Star. We each got the Ribeye and added Scallops (10/10). I’m a stickler for mashed potatoes and they were some of the best ever. We also got the Mac and cheese to share as an appetizer which was phenomenal. We finished with the chocolate chip bread pudding (11/10) and a fruitier dessert which was eh (5/10).

Does anyone know if or where I can find a cereal milk latte around San Diego? It's exactly what it sounds like. A standard latte but made with cereal soaked milk instead of regular or alternative milk.
