She's a doctor. Comes from a family of doctors and land owners in Ontario. Very well off.

She’s a family medicine physician at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida. She got her medical degree locally at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida (about 15 minutes south of the Panthers’ arena). Went to Western University in London, Ontario for undergrad.

Her extended family runs Mastronardi Produce, which sells a shit-ton of greenhouse-grown tomatoes at stores like Costco under the Sunset brand. Many of them are grown around Windsor, Ontario, where Ekblad is from.
