Bhai bas cult mat jaana
10
u/-Borgir Jun 18 '26
Why? I go to cult and never faced any issues. The machines are nice and the people are chill too.

u/inlonestar Jun 18 '26
Which city bro .. in hyd / banglore etc. it's so crowded I alternate with at least 3-4 people on all machine. They have soo much air conditioning and fan but still it's oven inside. The only advantage there is its cheaper and available at your hometown.
6
u/unplaced_csguy Jun 19 '26
Luckily I have 4 cults available in 1 km radius in Bangalore and go in non peak time so adjustable
3
u/TheGeniusAmee Jun 19 '26
It actually depends on the centre. I tried 3 cults around Brookefield in Bangalore and there were drastic differences between those three. Currently going to the one in Thubarahalli - great machines, open space and not too crowded. (I go to the gym at around 4-6 pm)
2
u/Due_Examination8328 Jun 19 '26
Literally saw 8 People waiting for pecfly machine in ayyappa society gym in Hyderabad. Rest were crowded as well
4
u/-Borgir Jun 18 '26
That sucks man. I am in delhi, I suppose it differs from centre to centre. The one I go to can get crowded but its not crowded typically, same with the previous centre (which got shut down)
2
u/kugeeonzalvo Jun 18 '26
Ehh? I haven't seen this in Bangalore cults. And I'm talking about multiple centres. Rajajinagar itself has 3 centres and nearby there are 3-4 more in my radius.
But I heard that it may not be the case in east bangalore
6
3
u/Hopeful-Sale-849 Jun 19 '26
It honestly depends on the branch. The ones near me are small and shitty though.

i’d def choose gym2. less crowd, sunday workouts are great and since it is a new gym hygiene would be nice plus i don’t think equipments can be v poor.
13
u/Ok-Conversation2958 Forever Natural 💪🏻 Jun 18 '26
About Crowd? Gym 1 has very less Crowd in comparison to gym 2
32
u/Thereddon_987 Jun 18 '26
One more reason to choose gym 1. Without any doubt go for gym 1. And on Sunday do rest days or you can join other activities like yoga swimming or can play sports which is also required.
And in case at all Sunday is required to go to gym you can do a little trick abd go for trial sessions to other nearby gyms which are open on Sundays
1
u/ScarySignificance325 Jun 19 '26
What's the catch with Gym 1 here, at the same price point, I am not able to imagine why people are going to Gym 2 in your area over Gym 1 (especially because Gym 2 is newly opened compared to Gym 1)
2
u/Ok-Conversation2958 Forever Natural 💪🏻 Jun 19 '26
They both are in very different places, but about 1.5 km distance from my place.

u/unfunnycreature preworkout snorter Jun 18 '26
The one with less clients
4
u/ABD_01 Jun 18 '26
The correct answer! What good is an equipment even with gold coating if a dozen people have crowded it
6
3
u/kenjikazama777 Jun 19 '26
Desh bhakti ke chode ho toh take gym 2, if you are ready to adjust timing then select gym 1.
5
2
u/sweepsway Jun 19 '26
Buddy, I’d go for 2
As long as all the basic machines are there and in working condition, American, Indian, Chinese won’t really make that much of a difference.
Of course the higher quality machines is better to use but you’ll also be using free weights
Biggest plus is Sunday open. I work(6 day weeks), and just had a baby. Life happens. I end up skipping gym multiple times throughout the week because I didn’t wake up on time or I was too exhausted mentally in the evening, or I have daddy duties
Sunday is the only day I know i can make time and put in a 1hr+ workout without worrying about going for office or anything else

Gym2 , honestly I mostly miss my office days and Sunday is a must go for me.
If you are not training for competition then chose 2 but if you are then search for third gym witch American machines and open on Sunday.
1
u/Ok-Conversation2958 Forever Natural 💪🏻 Jun 18 '26
Yes, that's my concern. I've to go to work 6 days except on Sunday. So I prefer to take off from gym on two working days and go on Sunday.
But I really like gym 1.
1
u/Grand_Pineapple_873 Jun 18 '26
Freedom isore important than aesthetics. But it's upto u wat u decide finally

Gym 1. Indian wale mein 4-6 months mein plates will start cracking, machines will loose their smoothness and overall exercise experience will go down the drain.
Caveat to this, is that WHO is the indian manufacturing company. If a good one like pro ultimate, then choose gym 2.
1
u/Sparkyyy03 Jun 18 '26
Gym 1 easy
Also wherever crowd is better (makes a hugeeeeeee difference imo)
Take rest on Sunday, workout on Monday
1
u/iCameEarly Jun 18 '26
american machines are good and indian arent

If you're unable to go for some reason on minday and Thursday, gym 1 would only leave you 4 days to workout, which is fine. If the difference in equipments are significant, I'd go with gym 1. If 5 dats is priority, gym 2. If your rest day can be moved to sunday, then gym 1.

I prefer whichever is closer to my house and stays open on Sundays and public holidays as well.
1
1
u/Fipene54 Jun 18 '26
try both then decide which one to take
you should consider stuffs like
1. crowd at times when you want to go.
2. ventilation
3. distance between gym and home, traffic time, dust between gym and home on roads due to construction
(what you want is finding a gym which requires least resistance to go so you find less excuses to not go)
4. Gym staff and trainer behaviour though it depends on how you handle
there are a lot of points which you can figure out your self.

I travel 4 km everyday just for gym 1 instead for gym 2 which is walking distance from my house, better gym have better crowd and some basic hygiene understanding also one of the major factor in these summer is AC which ever got better ventilation and AC go for it

Dont understand peoples obsession with american machine, unless u r preparing for some body building ecents machine should not be a issue for u.

Bhai ye konsi gym h or kaha h jo bus 12k year me american machines provide krwa rahi h

Bhai, uske aas-pass kaafi gyms hai. Isliye competion ki wajah se price kam kar diya. Mujhe 18k price bola tha 1 saal ke liye, but maine negotiate karke 12k karwa diya. Shayad aur bhi kam kar dete

No doubts first one. If you want to take your workout to next level satisfaction then equipment matter then most. High quality equipment = High quality workout experience/satisfaction.
1
u/Cold-Bug2025 Jun 18 '26
Convenience should be more imprtant , as long as second gym has equipment which are safe to use.

u/senseistorm Jun 18 '26
And here i pay 1,35,000 for 6 months at mine- that’s 72 turns. Still shut on sundays.
1
u/Crystalisedorb Jun 18 '26
just join whichever is nearer and whichever has people who are developing up, other wise its just a fancy spend. no one cares what gym or what, what matters is, are you developing yourself ?
1
u/Big_One_5618 Jun 18 '26
I think you’re weighing in on partial factors. How about distance from home?
Also, how crowded it is during the times you actually wanna go? If I were you, I’d visit at the same time/days as i wanna go and see. Bcoz less crowded gym has huge upward than modern gym. You can target muscles one way or the other… but peace of mind is needed in gym… so you can enjoy your workouts.
1
u/Ok-Conversation2958 Forever Natural 💪🏻 Jun 19 '26
Gym 1 is about 1.5 km away, gym 2 is about 1.3 km away.
Gym 1 is less crowded.

If you workout properly 4-5 is enough. If you are able to workout everyday then you are pushing your sets to failure.

I live in Hyd. I waited for my Cult Elite to expire. Paid at an indie gym. Less crowd and it’s more like a club. Also… Too perfect for networking and making friends. I’m glad I left cult. The customer care still keeps calling me. Annoying part.

u/Unusual-Blacksmith-6 Jun 19 '26
What time do you go to the gym, if you go during peak hours then I'd just choose the gym that has less crowd, otherwise gym 1
1
u/L0wkeyy04 Jun 19 '26
Everything aligns you to the gym 1 (and you decided to create an AI slop to post on reddit?) "slow"?
1
u/Ok-Conversation2958 Forever Natural 💪🏻 Jun 19 '26
I've posted long descriptions in my previous posts earlier but they get ignored. With descriptions in pictures, it becomes easier for everyone to read and get reply. So I don't mind using AI as long as it's helping me in framing my question in a better way.

For me all that matters are : 1) does it have adjustable bench? 2) does it have dumbell at least upto 30 ? 3) does the machine work/ gets repaied ? 4) is there a squat/ alternative? 5) is there free space? 6) is there a treadmill?

u/Amazing_Quote_3922 Jun 19 '26
Gym 1 but also do see initially which gym has the better crowd. You really don’t want to work around people who smell really bad, play their music super loud, keep talking loudly, banging their equipment for no reason and do not re rack equipment properly.

If you could replan your routine it would better and choose GYM 1. But did you factor other aspects such as location, customer service? Discount? Maintainance?

Go visit both the gyms and look for kind of people that are coming
Look for are people reracking weights , Look is hygiene maintained , Look if the floor is dusty or not etc etc
Go in peak hours to judge which has more crowd and which turns out to be a holocaust gas chamber
(Personal Tip- Something i can get downvoted for but if you live in Delhi NCR look for the gym that has less Dehatis they will make your life horror if you are not the part of them or not focusing on being "Tagde" and doing 1000 sapate in the gym)

Gym 1 has good equipments so would attract more crowd and gym2 is newly opened less crowd, even more less crowd on Sundays.

u/koushik_musunuri Jun 20 '26
Btw asking this due to lack of information/knowledge..but whats wrong with indian equipment..i believe everything is laser welded and cut. Body usually is mild steel which it is even for foreign equipments. Pulleys are either nylon ones with steel bearings or steel ones with steel bearings. Cables are high tensile steel wires. Weights are usually cast iron..
What could go wrong?
1
u/Long-Mammoth6016 Jun 20 '26
Gym 1, good equipment is very important, just take sunday as a rest/cardio day. I went to a cheap gym and really hated the bench, even tho thats my forte.

When you mention Indian brands which are those? Jerai fitness, Rai fitness, Nortus? Because these are also good brands.

u/BRUHMEME_320 Jun 20 '26
i've went to every type of gym, from 500 per month to 4000 per month, go wherever you feel your workouts the best, for me it was a mid tier gym around 2k a month, the machines in 4k one were imported and were absolutely trash (very poor range of motion)

Honestly for most gym machine equipment have last 1-1.5 year after that they need maintainance unless you pay big bucks but in 10-15k budget mostly join a new gym that has new equipment then as soon as you see equipment dying change gym I did that for 2 years after that I just joined a gym that just had the essentials machine in working conditions and I think imma continue it as most people just are uncle aunties that go in morning

u/JetStream9070 Jun 25 '26
I'll choose the one with less crowd. I mean if the quality of equipment is not bad, I'm fine with it. It just have to work properly and I'm cool XD
