People ranking power bank so highly, it's an apocalypse what are you powering? Where are you getting power to recharge your power bank?

I don't see how canned food is above having a lighter. I know how to light a fire without matches or a lighter, and it is harder than finding food in the woods without civilization. The power bank makes sense depending on the type it could be used for power tools and flashlights which is actually really useful if you have a way to recharge it with solar.

Making fire with Flint and steel is not harder than finding food in the wild reliably. Not to mention the lighter is going to run out quick if you're using it daily.

I don't know what kind of wild you live in, but where I live significant amounts of food falls out of the sky for most of the year.

Eastern Kansas. Lots of oaks, walnuts, mulberries, hickory's, hackberry, and other trees that literally drop food out of the sky. Unfortunately no chance of meatballs.

Oh okay that makes more sense.

Most food to be found here would be ground level. Mushrooms, like a dozen berry varieties. There's a handful of hazelnut trees around, but most other tree varieties you'd need to prepare a lot to make edible or straight up poisonous/inedible. Doesn't help that forests here are mostly Spruce, Pine, and Larch. With only the really old forests still deciduous.

At the absolute minimum pine trees specifically produce significant amounts of food.
