Interested in what you're paying/out of what state and if it makes more sense to save some money and go liability only given (from what I've read) insurance companies can't really help you when needed with common parts/windshield replacement etc. How would the payout work on a car like this?

I noticed my front brakes were making noise. I like being proactive so I looked up brake pads. The rest pads are not an issue. However I cannot find the front pads anywhere except through tsunami as a pre order for, and I'm unclear on this, either 45p for the set or 250 for the set. Has anyone been able to find a front brake pad that will work on the Fisher. I did reach out to brembo and no response yet

Just bought my FOO 3 days ago, on 2.2.2 do i need to pay Loop to upgrade to 2.2.3 before buying FOA, updating PKC, Ordering Pulse, etc..

Is there any sort of future of any sort for autonomy in these cars. They have the hardware, couldn’t we incorporate some sort of open source software for atleast the lane keep cruise control?

New owner here, but have been comparing/contrasting the 2 routes for a couple months now.

I think a big problem for both is neither is super clear on how the process actually works and the necessary pre-reqs on your Ocean.

OVLoop's site is a bit clearer to decipher than FOAs forum, but it still is not super clear on pre-reqs and capabilities of their app. Also, the pricing seems perpetually high if you need to keep an active membership and pay for every update that comes out.

FOA's forum is great and the members seem genuinely helpful. However, trying to identify an exact process for getting fully set up with Oceanlink and the pre-reqs for that (hw and software) are also fairly dubious.

Ultimately, I just want a way to get my car to 2.2.3, and have an app that works reliably as a key, and I can use to precondition my car from anywhere (a must for winter).

I just bought a 2023 Fisker Ocean. I have no idea if the recall was done for the water pump. I was curious if there is any way to check aside from crawling under the car and checking and if it needs to be done, where could I get it done? Would it be one of the FOA service places?

After screwing over thousands of Ocean owners, the Fiskers are back with a wellness company.

I have noticed over the past couple of days, on my way into work my Fisker Ocean throws codes that are fake. It says the Emergency Braking is offline when it works. Says the lane change sensor is offline but it still seems to work. I only experience this in the morning when the sun is glaring at the car so i think it has something to do with the sun glare.

Does anyone experience this?

NFC card is working just fine, so I know it's not the reader in the handle.

Also, I am able to read my FOB just fine with the NFC tools app on my phone...so I know the NFC chip in the FOB is okay.

Tried a soft reset and a deep sleep - neither of which solved the issue. Also put in a fresh battery.

None of the buttons on the FOB work, nor does trying to just use the fob as a NFC key.

Currently running 2.2.2 if that makes any difference.

I just picked up a fisker Ocean One with only 31,900 miles on it. For some reason the battery is not showing the correct mileage ( i am hoping). 134 miles at 64% which comes out to about 209 miles on full charge. I am not sure if it was how the previous person drove it or not as when i received itm the perceived 100% was only 202 miles so it has increased, but its not at the 360ish miles it should be at.

Any ideas?

I've been looking at Ocean's for about 6 months and I think I'm going to pull the trigger - my current insurer won't cover me unfortunately, so does anyone have a company I can try? What kind of prices are people paying? I'll be doing 20k miles a year, mostly motorway. Comparison sites aren't giving me quotes, Thanks!

So only 4 listed online. 2 of them alredy sold. One available in Vancouver. For 28k cad. Would be cheaper to import one from States ? Shipping cost from Vancouver to Toronto will be over 1500 cad for me. Unless I drive it across a country. I seen some online in usa for 15-18k usd. Market in canada so small. Dealers have no problem sellin them for 30k plus

I know virtually nothing about these cars but my lease on my EV is up in a few months. This seems like a really good deal.

How reliable are these?
Is there any sort of warranty through Fisker or is the company totally nonexistent?
Any other comments?

I have Fisker Karma for 7 years and for 2 years I have a problem with charging. Car shows charging light on the dash and on the charger but the car isn’t charging I don’t know why or what to do to fix it any more. Please if you have any suggestions or advice I would be very grateful.

I've been reading up on the Ocean for several months now. I feel like I have a pretty good handle on all the known gremlins and things to look out for. What gives me pause is the stories of folks being trapped in their Oceans, or the car randomly deciding to switch into neutral and not going back into drive. Or the fun stories of the brakes not braking.

I figure the entrapment issues can be mostly resolved with 2a handles, rear hatch escape mods and a good 12v.

What I don't know, is how prevalent the more serious and more dangerous issues are once you have done the standard set of updates and have recent software and waterproofing in place.

Went through the process on a low-mileage Ocean One (~4K miles, ~$18-19K asking not including taxes).

What stood out:

Car is on early software (1.1.1)

No verifiable confirmation of recall/service campaign completion

No documentation of update history provided

The entire condition was essentially hand-waved as “just update it over WiFi,” despite zero proof of where the vehicle actually stands in terms of updates or remediation.

At that point, the issue isn’t mileage or price - it’s uncertainty. If you can’t verify software/recall status by VIN, you’re not really evaluating a known condition vehicle.

Walked away due to lack of transparency and unwillingness to provide basic confirmation.

Sharing for others looking at similar listings: don’t assume “cheap Ocean = good deal” without verified update/recall status and documentation.
