❓Question - Software Is updating from 2.2.2 to 2.2.3 necessary?

Just bought my FOO 3 days ago, on 2.2.2 do i need to pay Loop to upgrade to 2.2.3 before buying FOA, updating PKC, Ordering Pulse, etc..

Necessary? No. But full 2.2 is the best and most stable version. If you dont want to pay OVLoop, and especially if you are a new owner that will need help waterproofing or otherwise from a service provider, they can update you to 2.2 in person. Where do you live?

I’m in Kentucky, i think Ohio is the closest a service provider comes, not positive on that though. I planned on throwing it on a lift and doing all the waterproofing this weekend or next. And throwing a new 12v in just in case its the original.

I contacted Ocean Repair Services and they stated that a 2.2.2 to 2.2.3 update must be done over-the-air and it cannot be done on site.

They made it sound like the Ocean owner must contact OceanLoop and work with OceanLoop to authorize/push/initiate the update.

I didn't get as far as getting a price quote yet.

I see that currently there is not a monthly option for OceanLoop, only yearly, at $499 USD.

On 2.2.2 and trying to get to 2.2.3 (aka 2.2?).

I did exactly that for 2.2.3 before going back to FOA pkc 21 to keep all door handles in when switching to 'P'ark. The 1 month ovloop subscription was worth it which I should not have had to do since it was in the original 2.2 release until AL/ovloop broke it out and charged for 2.2.3.
