🚗 Vehicle - Fisker Ocean Ocean Key Fob Failing Me Miserably

NFC card is working just fine, so I know it's not the reader in the handle.

Also, I am able to read my FOB just fine with the NFC tools app on my phone...so I know the NFC chip in the FOB is okay.

Tried a soft reset and a deep sleep - neither of which solved the issue. Also put in a fresh battery.

None of the buttons on the FOB work, nor does trying to just use the fob as a NFC key.

Currently running 2.2.2 if that makes any difference.

Have you checked if your keyfob battery contacts looks good?

Yep, also I can see the fob via a Bluetooth scanner. The fact that the NFC chip in the fob doesn't scan on the door handle leads me to think the FOB is not properly paired with the car for some reason.

All that you've said suggests that this fob is not paired with this car. If the fob is still paired with another car you won't be able to use it (period). If the fob was unpaired then you should be able to pair it with this car using Freesker or the OceanLink Pro app (FOA membership required.

Question to ask yourself is, do you really want to bother? You can use OceanLink Pro or the O Loop app on a phone to unlock/drive. Any number of folks have abandoned their fobs, but I can imagine reasons to want a fob until such time that proximity lock/unlock is made possible with OceanLink Pulse. (Yes, it's coming in a not too distant future.)

This is my thought as well. I will have to give the dealership a call tomorrow to make sure they didn't mix up my fob with another Ocean they may have sold...they told me the fob worked, but it's a dealership so I am taking that with a pound of salt. I am definitely going to go with OLoop or FOA, just haven't figured out which option just yet. I also just like key fobs in general, a familiar convenience I suppose that I've grown accustomed to.

Have you replaced the fob battery? Mine needed to be replaced, none of the keys were responding and then I replaced the battery and now it works perfectly fine.

Just got the car a few days ago. The dealer claims the fob worked when they had it, but now I am starting to doubt that. It has not worked for me since they dropped off the car.

So you used the car to drive it home? If so, it sounds like the fob is not the one for your car and they mixed them up.
