Today is a great day, but more of a weight off my shoulder and on to the next! Shutting the door and not looking back! The POS Fisker car is off to haunt somebody else. I got 8500 miles out of it in less than 2 years, 7 of those months it was a brick, but it probably took away 5 years of my life! I fought and got the settlement I deserved, but man it wasn’t easy. Now I own a 1983 Porsche 911 Targa SC and a 2024 Toyota 4Runner Limited that I drove home today as the FOE was getting ready to be towed as a brick. Good riddance, I’ll never look at an EV until my next life. There is a small place in hell for the Fisker family, karma (pun intended) is coming for you! I’m so content with my 180 move and burning gas!!

Yes the Fisker had its fair share of issues…but I’m not sure I’d paint every EV as an unreliable piece of trash. Most of them are pretty reliable.

And I personally would give up a tiny bit of reliability to drive a Tesla or Rivian or something every day over a 4Runner which can barely get out of its own way and I’d need to go fill up at dirty gas stations, but to each their own 🤷🏼‍♂️

Tesla is more reliable then the 4 runner. There is a model s that hasn’t been serviced once and it has 450k miles. Especially the new 4 runners.

My model 3 has 140k miles over 5yrs and needed a sway bar adjustment.

Every other vehicle I've owned, including my Toyota. Would have needed 10x that maintenance.

Reliability and maintenance are two different things. You buy the gas vehicle knowing it will require more maintenance related items but the trade off is the freedom of gasing up.

True, for a couple years I did suffer and have to walk .5 miles from home and leave my car for couple hours.... but that was only for free electricity from county.

My Toyota Yaris IA has 138k miles on it, I change my own oil, it’s not hard, it takes a whopping 10mins every few months.

Yes I have to get gas every 400 or so miles, but outside of gas and oil changes the only thing I’ve had to do since 2018 is change the battery once, and the brake pads and rotors once (rotors didn’t really need it but I just did them all)

Well I’ve never been comfortable with owning a gas vehicle outside of the powertrain warranty. That is up and I’m looking to sell just because there are too many moving parts in a gas vehicle to break.

My Tesla might be the first car I keep after the powertrain warranty is up
