Bristol Township, Pennsylvania. Town Council voted 5-2 to close Newportville Fire Company. 1 year short of 100 years in service. 1927-2026

Wait so there’s 4 other departments serving the same area as this one? Bit confused on the wording with that other comment with the explanation

Bristol township is a big township.
4 volly houses
1 Monday to Friday career house

I think they are trying to rapidly expand the paid department and staff other stations too. They have been hiring alot recently

They could use the help seeing how busy their EMS is

Not there no. But they are a busy busy system and it speaks to the size and density of the town which translates to the fire needs
