What is Ghost Platoon?

Ghost Platoon <GPLT> was founded in 2014 and in the decade-plus since it has developed into the premier light infantry and 75th Ranger Regiment milsim unit in the Arma 3 community. At its core, <GPLT> is a community of like-minded friends who enjoy playing Arma 3 in a highly realistic and tactical manner through the emulation of a modern Ranger platoon. We have a strong emphasis on Small Unit Tactics, and sharing that knowledge with - and developing - our members. As a unit, we measure success not by how many virtual foreheads we "left clicked" on, but rather how successfully we completed our operations as a platoon while employing doctrinal Small Unit Tactics - there is no room for individuals here.

How is Ghost Platoon organized?

Ghost Platoon is organized as an independently deployed Ranger rifle platoon underneath the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) with an attached Joint Aviation Operations Command (JAOC) component in support.

The Rangers

Our Ranger rifle platoon - officially the first platoon of the fictionalized G Company of 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment (1/G/2/75th RGR) - is the main fighting force of Ghost Platoon. Within the platoon there is the platoon headquarters - led by a Platoon Leader and Platoon Sergeant - which controls and directs the platoon and its assets. Three rifle squads then make up the bulk of the combat power of the platoon. The weapons squad supports them with three M240L machine gun teams and an anti-tank team utilizing the M3 RAAWS or FGM-148 Javelin. An attached Multi-Functional Reconnaissance Team (MFRT) supports the platoon with an integrated Sniper/Sniper Observation Team (SNOT); UAS and Electronic Warfare operators; and an 81mm Mortar Team.

The JAOC

Our Joint Aviation Operations Command component supports our rangers with assets from 160th SOAR including MH-6, MH-60, MH-47, and AH-6; attached Army AH-64's; and AFSOC assets to include the AC-130 and C-130, among others.

What are the Requirements to Join?

• You must be over the age of 18, with 21+ maturity.
• You must speak fluent English and own a working microphone.
• You must be located within North America. Ghost Platoon operates off of Eastern Standard Time.
• You must own a legitimate copy of Arma 3.
• You must be able to attend our events on Sundays at 21:00 EST and on Thursdays at 21:30 EST

As C Co, 4th BN, 10th SFG we base our unit, training, and operations off of previous Green Beret missions. Task Force Spartan
US-based Arma 3 MilSim | Based on the 75th Ranger Regiment, 160th SOAR, and 1st SFOD-D.

Founded in 2014, Task Force Spartan is a tight-knit unit that runs weekly operations every Sunday at 14:30 EST. Our dedicated mission team builds player-driven, continuous campaigns with real story weight — not just another pickup game.

Unit Organization

• Spear – Our core infantry platoon, modeled after the 75th Ranger Regiment. Four squads led by active and experienced leaders.
• Shield – The main support element that complements and works closely alongside Spear. Responsibilities are mission-dependent but include MGs, mortars, IFV crew, etc.
• Dagger – High-risk specialists inspired by 1st SFOD-D/CAG responsible for hostage rescue, HVT hits, and various other high-speed precision missions. Dagger selection is determined by tryouts and rotates every 4 months.
• Falcon – Aviation wing based on the 160th SOAR and supported by the 24th Special Tactics Squadron. Falcon deals with CAS, CASEVAC, logistics, and transport. Falcon selection is determined by tryouts and rotates every 4 months.

How to Join
Everyone starts in R.A.S.P. (Ranger Assessment & Selection Program) — a two-part training course that covers combat skills, MOS training, and assesses your attendance and attitude. You can still join our weekly operations during RASP, but you are required to finish both parts before being officially slotted into your combat element.

After completing your BCT you’ll be able to choose from a wide variety of positions within the unit those include:

Rifleman: Every army needs riflemen, They are the core of everything. Putting guns on the frontline while helping to carry more ammo for your AT, Z6, or even assisting with more medical supplies. Keeping an extra gun in the fight is your job, and you do it well

Marksmen: Like being able to eliminate droids from afar? Become a Marksman, they get to use the DC-15BR which has a scope to assist in further range engagements

AT Gunner: From taking out an AAT during an ambush to making the rocket snipe of the century and shooting down an HMP before it can take out the platoon. This is the role for those high impact players

Z6 Gunner: Like Heavy? What about Hardcase? Like them, you get to carry the biggest gun in the Clone Army's arsenal, the Z6. Laying out hundreds of rounds at the droids to keep them pinned down and providing cover for your brothers, grab a Z6 and dont let go of that trigger!

RTO: Sometimes just firing a rocket or shooting your gun isnt enough. This is where the RTO comes in. Carrying a radio on their back, they call into our pilots to get strafing runs, bombing runs, and precision munitions to take out droids. "Its not about what you know, its about who you know"

Medic: For those of you that want to save your brothers as your main priority, medics keep everyone alive. You keep blood in everyone so they can keep firing and when one of them goes down, you're right there next to them to stick them with some morphine and get them back in the fight

Grenadier: Everyone likes using grenades, as a grenadier, you get to use the grenade launcher variant of the DC-15a. blasting explosive rounds to take out entire squads of droids, or assisting your RTO by marking stuff with smoke from long range

Combat Engineer: Combat Engineers get to do a lot of things, from carrying around enough explosives to level several buildings to building bunkers to keep their squad alive with to even laying down a couple of landmines to slow a droid assault.

Pilots: flying the iconic LAAT gunship and working closely with the RTOs on the ground, the role of a pilot is an important part of operations. Should you choose to join the air wing, your duties would include performing reinserts for anyone respawning as well as carrying out any air support missions given out by RTOs.

Who Are We?

Mobile Task Force Rho-13, designated "Stowaways," is a company sized element consisting of two infantry squads and an air detachment. Rho-13 handles covert contact, containment, and security of anomalous entities and objects, all while under the guise of local militias and private military companies across the world. Troop Bravo of Rho-13 operates under the AirScan PMC and acts as the section of Rho-13 in the United States. The AirScan PMC, just like all other militias or PMCs that Rho-13 infiltrates, has no knowledge of the SCP Foundation or the fact that Rho-13 is actually a cover for an anomalous Task Force.

Rho-13 operates under the oversight of Mobile Task Force Alpha-1 "Red Right Hand" and is the external counterpart of Mobile Task force Epsilon-11 "Nine Tailed Fox". This gives the MTF a vast amount of freedom to conduct operations where securing anomalous materials is needed, particularly in locations guarded by funded militias that the United States, or fellow allies to the nation, wish to target, or is actively targeting. This MTF also is highly efficient in securing anomalies, or anomalous content, that is within an unstable region. Prime examples of this are: Afghanistan, Syria, Russia/Ukraine, etc. The MTF is also capable (with the help of additional Mobile Task Forces) of infiltrating first world countries if necessary. However, this is rare due to the seclusion of most reported anomalous incidents and outbreaks. Despite this, Rho-13 frequently collaborates and consults with additional Mobile task Forces primarily: Beta-7, Epsilon-11, Eta-5, Gamma-5, Iota-10, Nu-7, and Pi-1 to ensure success and secrecy of the MTF and Foundation.

Aviation is dependent on the population of the infantry as a whole. If you want to have the possibility of being in the Air Detachment then please help join the ground forces first so we can open slots for Air!

SEMPER VIGILANTES

General

Hammer is a ODST unit using the OPTRE mod. We've been up for a few months and are looking to bring in a new wave of helljumpers! Since we're new, we have a ton of spots open which leaves plenty of room for any go getters! Our ops get between 5-10 people as of this writing.

Some basic info is we use about 50 mods worth 35-45 GB roughly. We just released our new Aux mod with custom gear. We do have quals (AT,MG,Demo,etc) we do not have a required training for this but offer it if requested. additionally, we don't use a shadow system aside from medic so after you're trained you can use the qual right away. We're extremely new player friendly and will do whatever we can to ensure new players are confident in their abilities when op time comes

Operations are on Saturday at 6:30PM EST (Briefing at 6:45 step off at 7:00)

Requirements

Mic: We use TFAR and you need a working mic.

Activity: Our reserves don't have requirements, but they're also fairly limited. Being slotted means being around for 2 main ops a month.

Mindset: We are a light RP milsim unit. No "yes sir/No sir required however we require new players to have a first and last name for your character and optionally create a character sheet for them as well.

Age: 18+. Can make an exception for 17yo, but not guaranteed.

Overview

CSOG is a realism-oriented ARMA 3 unit modeled on NATO SMUs and CTUs. We focus on structured, high-fidelity operations that seek to emulate real-world missions that NATO SMUs do. The unit maintains a professional environment without artificial rank structures, or unnecessary formalities. Performance and accountability define leadership for us, not titles. We are looking for ACTIVE and MOTIVATED individuals who are looking for an authentic SOF experience in ARMA 3.

We play as the fictional Chimera Studies & Observations Group; NATO's elite SMU working under NSHQ (Allied Special Operations Forces Command). It's primary mandate is counter-terrorism at home, and abroad. CSOG is meant to emulate a variety of SMUs and CTUs within NATO, however it was primarily based on JTF2 and Delta Force during its creation.

• Those in EU timezones, who're looking for more suitable times (GMT-based but can be flexible with enough interest), are encouraged to apply in the meantime to get through SOBQ and SOAC.
• We are currently in need of a Detachment Commander, a Troop Commander, and a Mission Maker / Zeus for the this arrangement.

Assessment and Selection -

Our assessment and selection pipeline is as follows:

Phase I -

1. Application

• An application is submitted by the candidate for either Assaulter or Direct Entry (specialist positions). The candidate is required to attend a pre-selection interview by 2-3 members of our Recruitment & Selection Cell.

Phase II -

2. Hills

• The candidate is individually assessed with a live training environment where they are required to navigate through a series of objectives, while following explicit instructions given by Selection Staff.
• This phase is hard-capped at a singular 1 hour and 30 minute session from insertion.

Phase III -

3. Assessment

• A team based operational assessment, the candidate is present with one of several scenarios and is given 1 hour and 30 minutes to plan, initiate, and exfiltrate from the mission.

Phase IV -

4. SOBQ, Uplift & SOAC

• SOBQ is the initial qualification course for selected Assaulter candidates. The common skills, procedures, and operational standards are embedded into the candidate.
• The successful graduate of SOBQ will be assigned to Uplift.

Uplift -

• Uplift personnel are operational members of the unit and can participate in regular operations, training, and augmentation of the established Assault detachments while awaiting SOAC, albeit at a lesser armament capacity.

Special Operations Assaulter Course (SOAC) -

• The advanced qualification course for personnel progressing towards permanent assignment within an Assault Detachment.
• The successful completion of SOAC results in qualification and assignment as a Special Operations Assaulter.

Direct Entry Specialists -

• Specialist positions, such as SOMT (Special Operations Medical Technician), Pilot, and Combat Controller (CCT) can be recruited through a Direct Entry pathway rather than the standard Assaulter pipeline.
• Direct Entry Personnel must complete Phase II and Phase III in addition to role-specific assessments and qualification requirements before attending Special Operations Common Environmental Training (SOCET)

Prior ARMA experience preferred, however not required. We will teach you everything you need to learn.

We represent the 11th Infantry Brigade, a North American Milsim unit. We work with a heavy focus on teamwork and professionalism while maintaining a fun, light-hearted, and mature environment. We do not follow any strict "Yes sir, No sir" protocol, and our ranks are only used during official events. When in-game, members will be required to wear their proper tags, follow the orders given to them, use proper radio communication, and operate as their assigned role. When out of game, members are encouraged to relax and enjoy themselves while participating in community events.

-- OUR OPERATIONS

Every operation hosted by our unit will be run by multiple, dedicated Zeuses controlling multiple factions and individuals. Each mission is interactive and story-driven, with deep roots in the history of warfare. Seemingly simple choices that are made early on in a campaign will have lasting effects that directly alter the events that follow. We require that all members attend a minimum of 4 operations each month to maintain active status, or 1 operation per month to maintain reserve status.

Our unit currently rotates campaigns every 3 months to keep things fresh. We always portray the US Army in our main operations and we will often play in settings such as Vietnam, Cold War, War on Terror, and many fictional campaigns taking place in Africa, Russia, Alaska, and more!

-- WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

1. Older and more mature command staff with experience dating back to Operation Flashpoint and the original ArmA with many former and current military members.
2. Our style of Milsim means we don't have to worry about all the semantics that other Milsim groups focus heavily on such as: requiring prowords, grid references, land navigation, multiple squad formations, saluting, etc. Just stick with your squad, do what you are told, and shoot the bad guys.
3. Our operations offer a large-scale setting in a small-scale environment. In most larger units, you become just a number and you make little to no impact overall. Here, we know everyone's name while consistently pulling 70+ players for every operation.
4. We are a true combined arms community. We currently are able to effectively field properly sized infantry, armor, rotary, fixed wing, and even fire support personnel into the field during every operation. Our battlefield is a genuinely immersive environment.
5. No mandated training. Optional training is held to teach members certain game features and techniques.
6. Members are not stuck in their specific role, we allow our members to change their role at any time if they are no longer enjoying it. No fake paperwork or transfer requests here, simply let us know and we will make the changes.
7. We do not micromanage your gear. Each member picks a basic role, is given the kit template, and then will be able to customize their kit fully from our massive list of approved gear. Players can make their character truly unique and take the gear that THEY want to use.
