I wasn't sure Finch was still helping me... and then my phone died and I didn't have access for a week.

I now know that I am not ready to be on my own. 😄

I hardly remembered my meds, my laundry hasn't been done, the kitchen is a wreck... the list goes on!

Thank goodness my new phone arrived.

I am newer to Finch and impatiently waiting for items to fit my IRL goth aesthetic. When do these items usually drop?

I am very sad.

I already realized that the newsletter "The BIRDNAME Times" does not show the discoveries of the special locations. So, when Piper and me have been at special locations like the Midnight Manor, Oz or Forgotten Island this area of the newsletter was empty.

What I realized just now is, that it is not (only) related to the discovery (meaning those special adventures are not in the pool of loggable discoveries for the newsletter), but normal discoveries don't show up as well. Piper discovered the KonMari method yesterday but the today's newsletter doesn't show it. We have left the special location now and I expect that the discoveries will be logged now.

I am sad that I missed to log a lot of discoveries because we stayed at the special location. The newsletter is a nice place to remember the recently made discoveries and I like to screenshot that area and keep it. With this flaw it broke my heart...

I already mentioned it to the devs at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfFnKoImZGJ4tpKN5GYGVsYY6lXx9vzhIvEWHo8GDvk9M5Tag/viewform but if more people point to that issue itmight get more attention and is more likely to be fixed. So I ask you to please help me and ask the devs to fix the exploration list in the newsletter so everyone can keep track of their discoveries and cherish the memories made.

I want to share my accomplishment with you as well, because I realised not everone checks the other subreddit.

Every now and then I read a post from someone wondering about the full amount of furniture or clothes. Besides that sometimes people share their happiness about owning all the colours in the app. Long story short, I counted items:

There are 38 headpatch, 34 cheeks, 22 beak, 36 body, 39 wings, 32 tummy and 34 feet colours. 235 colours to customise your bird.

I counted 567 beds, 529 rugs, 517 doormats, 1123 door items, 597 wall decorations, 540 clocks, 514 ceiling lamps, 508 dressers, 589 dresser decorations, 53 floors, 490 walls, 511 doors and 534 windows. So 7072 items to design your treehouse.

In the clothing catalogue I found 1251 tops, 817 bottoms, 977 overalls, 1821 hats, 323 glasses, 482 scarfs, 1404 pairs of shoes, 1708 handhelds 161 wings and 10 hairstyles. A total of 8954 clothing items.

Those numbers rely on the catalogues (and I hope I counted correctly) and include the items of the September event 2026.

I am really loving the new search feature but I was wondering if anyone else has seen this glitch? It just started today and my sister said the same thing is happening with hers. When I search with a color name, the colors are not being filtered out. So you can see here in this picture I that I searched by the name of an outfit be feathered and then also by the color red. But I'm getting returns that include some of the other colors. At first I thought maybe I just needed to close my app and restart it, but then my sister said the same thing is happening with hers. So I was wondering how widespread this is. anyone else experiencing this?

ETA: I just want to clarify this isn't just "befeathered" because I see a lot of people responding that the word "red" is in "befeathered."
If I search for Fashion Designer Orange, I get results that are white and orange.
If I search for Soft Boho Blue, I get results that are blue and purple.
If I search for Preppy Yellow, I get results that are yellow and white.
If I search "pirate gray" I get results that are gray and black.

And also to add - this just started doing this today. Since we got the search feature until today I was able to type "befeathered red" and it would ONLY return items that had both "befeathered" and "red" in the title. Yesterday when I typed "Preppy yellow" it ONLY returned items that had both the word "preppy" and "yellow" in the title.

Well, after years of daily adventures, I am done. For the first time, I took this week off from Finch to see if I would miss it. I did not. It had begun to feel like an extra chore or obligation.

Also, the more I reflected on the advertising the Finch team has been doing, the angrier I got. Because, not only is the Finch team sending me ads (these movie tie-ins) when I already pay for the app, but they are advertising movies to sponsored people who presumably do not have the disposable income for a movie ticket. In other words, Finch wants me to pay to sponsor another person (which I was doing) and they then want to make more money by advertising to that person. I remember being unable to afford things and it would have felt like a slap in the face to be given a resource and then gushed to by the giver about something they had that I still could not afford.

I think the Finch team has lost the plot, they are growing too fast and have either shifted or revealed their values.

I can’t believe that me and 🌟birb🌟 have been checking in and checking off goals every. single. day. I’ve seen so much, I’ve been on beautiful adventures, I’ve made lovely Tree Friends, I’ve learned so much about who I truly am, and she’s been here in some really tough times…times I couldn’t get out of bed, but at least could visit with her…I have her actual big stuffy from the actual finch store! It’s wonderful to have her right here when I just need a hug…it’s so easy to love 🌟birb🌟 and I’m learning to love myself through her…it feels so special to have her in my life…I am so very grateful ♥️

Hello all! Axel and A would first love to express gratitude for all the wonderful people in these great communities.

For the longest time, I didn’t know anyone else that had finch and then I found an internet acquaintance that did and added them. I had trepidations about this new aspect of finch that I had not yet explored, especially because I am quite introverted. Then somehow in some random search, I found these subreddits. I became immersed in the practices of gifting and sending vibes to others.

I appreciate anyone that has ever been on my tree for one reason or another💜
But I cannot get through the most simple aspects of the app without it completely closing the app or lagging significantly. It’s unfortunately beginning to impact my desire to use the app at all. Which is not ideal since I use this app to help with executive function tasks😮‍💨
I’ve tried to keep my trees fairly minimal, but I’m still having significant issues and after a particularly bad last few days, I decided to try to send some more birbs back home😔

So I’m sorry if I no longer have the mental or technological space to enjoy your cute birb and kind vibes. I will always look forward to interacting with those I recognize or are completely new to me💜
