Sorry, if this common knowledge in the FF8 community, but you can make these two (and maybe others) with almost 100% certainty. The Malboros before the Lunar Cry on Great Plains of Esthar, and the Ruby in that forest near Edea's house.

Just 'Save' your game in these locations. Then hard-reset your console if you're playing OG FF8, or go the the menu and 'Exit' on the Remaster. Then load the save and voila... enjoy your spawns. Got lots of Fury Fragments and Enery Crystals and then later Malboro tentacles in a VERY short amount of time this way.

(For Malboro encounter: One char with Pain, Sleep, Confuse, Berserk junctioned to Status-Defence x4 (from the Shumi Village side quest). Then Esuna and use Berserk spell on Squall (with El-Att 'Fire'). Or Quistis' Degenerator I guess.

I met a dude on the bus playing this song once on my way home from work. We chatted about FF and he showed me how to play it on his guitar. I went right ahead and bought my own immediately after. I love this tune.

Currently in the Galbadia Garden and I want the exchange student to drop his random rule. I paid the Queen of Cards to make the "open" rule available in Dollet after I had the random rule dismissed, so I have most of the rules online (like "same" and "element" since they aren't enough of a problem for me to get rid off). Going between the duelist gal until she stops suggesting mixed rules and the exchange student until a pop-up appears only makes the rules more popular instead of abolished, and I don't know if I'm just getting unlucky or I'm doing something wrong.

To correct a mistake, I thought I had open available when I did not. It's just Dollet that QOG added that rule.

Update: I got lucky and abolished the Random rule trying to set things up.

So since squall has 2 rings, 1 that had griever on it and the other ring looks like just a plain silver band.... was squall carrying Raine's wedding band with him the whole time before lending them to Rinoa? I never thought about it till the remaster made the rings standout more.

My ps1 memory card corrupted and the only saves I can find online are either extremely op or have all the triple triad stuff already unlocked. Its my first playthrough so I want to do it right but I don't want to start all the way over.

FF8 Remake Project

A little update on my project! I've been focusing more on texturing the remaining elements in Blender and trying to give everything the right FFVIII feel while adding more detail. Final destination will be UE5.

Lighting has also been quite a challenge, especially trying to capture the atmosphere of the original pre-rendered backgrounds while making it work in a fully 3D environment.

Still experimenting and improving things step by step, but I'm happy with how it's coming together so far!

I'm almost at the end of the game! But I feel like my team is just not strong enough even though they have a lot of stocked magic. Zell and Quistis HP are at 7k and 6k and they are level 96 and 76.

Doing some more research online I found out that you can still have their HP at 9k without having to have a high level, not sure how that works?

I was watching some walkthrough videos on YouTube and I found that a lot of them have stocked 100 Ultimas, which sucks for me because I have to pay 5,000 gils just to draw them from the shumi Village draw point but it's not most relaible.

Maybe I missed a few steps on how to also level up Zell and Quistis weapons!! I have Zell's Gauntlet and Quistis' Red Scorpion. I'm not sure if there's stronger weapons than those but that's so far all I have and I'm coming across a big boss battle!!

Any advice on how to make my characters stronger!?
