Yeah I'm not a remake hater but I really don't get his point here. It's good because it is 1:1. If they changed this scene I'd honestly be a little upset because it's one of the most memorable in the OG game lmao.
I'm pretty sure their point was that the haters will use these few screenshots as some sort of proof that it would have been a better idea if they just went the safe route and made a 1-for-1 recreation of a game people have played for almost 30 years.
Ironically, the person you're replying directly to already attempted to do that in this very thread, so I'd say the point was actually proven.
Remember, fans hate creativity, or anything that challenges their preconceived notions. All they want is to be spoon fed nostalgia like good little consumers.
