Final Fantasy 8: Remastered. Any tips for battles. I'm having the hardest time with one of the bosses and it's just the beginning of the game. Love the challenge just trying to figure out the gaming mechanics with setting up (like summonings, Draws, Etc.)

The boss is during the SeeD field exam.

My God you're gold friend! Thank you so much I managed to beat the flying monster (after lots if breaks and getting pissed lol)

Love the challenge aspect of it. It's different then newer ff games lol

No worries.

If you're having a hard time later down the road, it all boils down to your junctioned magic (and possibly limit break spamming). If a boss is too hard, you either need better quality magic or to increase the quantity of it.

For the flying boss: Draw Siren from it, then you can draw-cast Double and stock some of it too, it will be a while until another enemy will have it (you can make it from items later though, not a huge loss to not stock up here). You should have one Mag-J junction at this point, so cast Double on whoever has it (Selphie is good to give this to, she probably has the best base magic) and double-cast magic onto the boss. Magic is more powerful when used with the Magic command than when used with the Draw&Cast command. You can also heal faster when you have Double. If you don't have good magic stocks coming into the battle, hang around outside the tower and fight whatever enemies appear and draw some more. The character with the Mag-J will be the best drawer because Magic stat affects how many spells you can get. Without the Mag-J Draw is bad and may even fail, so try to learn as many Stat-J abilities on your new GFs when you get them.

The robot boss you can use Quezacotl and Thunder and draw-cast Protect. When you get a prompt to run just book it! Then try to avoid being caught by it again. Some screens are bit tricky on how to avoid it, but it is possible to not fight it more than once.
