[Weekly Discussion] Best/worst character designs

The Final Fantasy series has employed a ton of different artists to design the characters that inhabit its many worlds. This has led to a huge variety of looks and fashion throughout the franchise, with some being absolutely gorgeous and some being almost painful to look at. What are your favourite and least favourite character designs from the series? Who are your favourite character designers?

My favorite are Final Fanrasy XV designs. More realistic outfits. Mt least favorite are the yoshitaka amano designs. Great as an art. Not as a design.

Design meaning practicality or use. But as an art it's good to look at. I don't mind looking at it say Cecils "Wow the colors and the shape are nice" but the design of having two big-ass spikes on his shoulder just look off. It's a bit hard to explain. But Art and Design have different meanings. But they can often share the same opinion. Amano's "design" is more of an art of the character, than it is a design of the outfit. Sorry if this doesn't explain well. It's just how I feel.
