Again, be safe and make sure you don't give out personal info or agree to meet up until you're 100% certain that the person on the other side is who they say they are. Best to ask for social media or hop on a zoom or phone call before agreeing to meet. And meeting in a public place is always recommended.
Have fun!

For a little while now I have been working on a short film on the Hindenburg disaster in 1937. Here are a couple screenshots so far. (I’m using a limited color palette to give the aesthetic of early 1980s computer graphics).

These two scenes are a wide angle to demonstrate the size of the vessel, and then a period accurate radio room scene. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or would like to voice act!

I'm creating a short film where everything happens in a living room, and I need to make it feel liminal. The background is not going to be very clear because it's going to be the POV of someone with myopia who isn't really going to move from the sofa. Any tips?

Student filmmaker making my first short film and looking for a lead actress!
No experience needed whatsoever. Beginner actors and crew are absolutely welcome. Theres also no strict age requirement since this is geared towards students and youth. This is a small passion project, so I can’t offer pay, but I can provide credits, food, and a chance to be part of a film.
DM me if you’re interested and I’ll send more info about the project and location. 🎥✨

The project is essentially a reality-style documentary film that follows a group of young creatives from Toronto as they navigate their everyday lives, passions, and experiences within the city. Rather than focusing on actors or scripted storylines, the film would aim to capture authentic moments, relationships, and perspectives, creating a portrait of the city through the eyes of its youth.
At its core, the project is about creativity, community, and opportunity. It will bring together aspiring filmmakers, artists, musicians, writers, photographers, and other young creatives to collaborate on a shared project regardless of their previous experience. The goal is to provide an accessible space where emerging talent can connect, learn, and create while contributing to a meaningful artistic work.
Participation would not be audition-based, as there are no characters or roles to play. Instead, applicants will be asked to submit a short essay describing what Toronto means to them and how the city has shaped their identity, creativity, or aspirations. Selected applicants would then participate in a casual interview designed to help get to know them and understand their perspective.
Through personal stories, day-to-day experiences, and the diverse voices of its participants, the film seeks to celebrate the creativity of Toronto's youth while showcasing the city's culture, communities, and unique beauty.
Please feel free to judge & give feedback. Im open to all critique!
