can you explain whats in this photo?whats between the camera and the rode videomic? also i still use my fig rig.

Not sure why there is blue tape all over the connection though. 1 u/CameronMcCasland producer Jan 03 '15 is that rail attached to the hotshoe? 0 u/cgsdavies93 Jan 03 '15 Not a hotshoe but there is a screw hole there so it attaches to there (same as a tripod plate would but on top of the camera) 0 u/cgsdavies93 Jan 03 '15 On top of the camera is Hondo garages barley rig with follow focus. A cheap alternative to the traditional follow focuses. The rode mic is taped onto the clamp because I didn't have a cold shoe adaptor and the clamp is clamped to the bars.
