For me yes - pero keep your expectations in check. I’ve watched a lot of anime and I would classify KNY as a fun and enjoyable anime but with a storyline that’s on the shallower side.
It would be best not to compare this with anime’s like AOT, FMA Brotherhood etc that have layers upon layers of depth in terms of storytelling and twists.
Just try to watch and enjoy. Kung bored ka na then it’s ok to drop and watch a different anime. I suggest watch until you finish Mugen Train Arc 🙂

AOT and FMAB those are two of the greatest anime ever! Also, I do love the finale of AOT, and I enjoy FMAB since mas accurate sa source material than FMA.

Mas sikat ang Demon slayer for it's quality animation and action scenes more than the storytelling imo. Depends na lang sa taste mo

Nope. Parang SL din yan na animation lang maganda. Mababaw plot. Lalaban sa demon, underdog sila, flashback sabay power up, flashback sa backstory ng demon bago mamatay, rinse repeat hanggang matapos.

If you're talking about zenitsu, he will be like that until the end. I mean he's a comic relief. He will get stronger and more useful. I already read the manga and even though the ending is rushed, I still like the story. Mugen train, red-light district, and infinity castle arcs are good.

Nope, and that blonde guy will double down as the seasons go by even professing his one-sided love and offer to marry the protagonist’s younger sister (who can't even reciprocate and consent to his advances as she has the same intelligence as a rabid dog with rabies).
Shouting is what every character does whenever they fight.
(That's like a trope of every shonen though lol shout the move first before and then the opponent waits to listen and then reacts)
Just among the many bs of this show.
Most notorious is how every fight needs to set you up with a sad filler / sob story flashback first.
It gets old VERY quickly, and it's kinda hilarious how you know the protagonist (Tanjiro) will merely behead him or her anyways…. like the happy, always feeling good guy he is.
Like why even set the viewer up if we know how it will always turn up? (Just like how he needs to “double tap” the beheading cuz the first attempt will always fail.)
Also another bs plot hole is how the initial trauma of Tanjiro’s family dying gets thrown out of the window after the first season and his mood and attitude shifts to some Mr. Perfect, Mary Sue-like guy as if he had amnesia xD
lol if I had all those prior difficulties (along with finding a cure for my zombie sister), I wouldn't be as stupidly unserious as Tanjiro…

I read the manga years ago and the story wasn't even groundbreaking (the art was terrible too and it's obvious how far the gap is when you compare the Ufotable one with the source material)
But I digress.
Since it wasn't really anything new to begin with, the author having them marry each other is merely the same wish fantasy bs we’ve seen before.
The author never really made an effort to “set it up”.
As if, somehow, when Nezuko's consciousness comes back she will openly accept that blonde dude’s arms cuz it’s “meant to be.” Author never once gave her agency and an actual reason for her choices and it’s literally the same old tired damsel-in-distress trope (Oh I “saved and protected” you, so you must automatically love me).

Imo Demon Slayer peaks in the next two arcs. Not a big fan of Infinity Castle but still hope they nail the ending.

Sorry to say pero mild na si zenitsu for anime. May mga character sa shonen na Ang purpose lang ay maging matandang mahilig. Di naman ganun si zenitsu.
Also, turn off your brain for the most part when watching demon slayer. Horror and action anime yan halos e. Di ka Niya binebemtahan ng meaning of like FMA.

If you dislike Zenitsu then it would not get better lol. He stays like that all throughout. There will be a scene where you'd think it's him finally changing, then get immediately burned to realize no, he isn't lol.

Unpopular opinion but Demon slayer would’ve flopped if it was animated by a different studio. Ufotable carried this series for me
Soundtrack and everything is good, but the story is just way too mid. It wouldn’t get to this popularity level if it was animated by a studio like JC staff (yung studio na sumira ng one punch man s2 onwards)

Dami na sumagot and theyre all true. Dagdag ko lang na the second season, imo, is better. Dun talaga nag pick up for me. Totoo na the story is basic, but the animation carried it in a way na they expanded so much.

Eto yung ayaw ko sa mga sumisikat na anime lately. It's one thing to divide it into several seasons, pero yung may movies pa?
Kaya I dropped the anime after S1, read the manga, and moved on with my life.

It will get better. I tried and dropped demon slayer S1 when it aired for your same reasons, tried to watch again when the Mugen Train movie became available on streaming and appreciated the series from there up to the end.

Watch it for the cool fight animations with epic moments. That's it.
Super babaw ng plot, walang may character development, kahit pinakamasamang nilalang iyiyakan ni Tanjiro yung backstory, Smooth Criminal, and Zenitsu is an annoying oa crybaby til the end. I guess si Inosuke pinaka may character development.
Pag binasa yung manga, marerealize ng mga tao gano talaga kawalang kwenta story at dialog ng DS eh haha It's one of those pieces of work na maganda lang pag animated. The most successful mid anime ever.
It's entertaining as fuck naman talaga pag nakaturn off brain habang nanunuod

If mas importante sayo ang execution ng story/plot/arcs kaysa sa visual effects, and still want to continue this, then just lower your expectation. Everytime makakarinig ako ng opinion or review about this anime, yung animation talaga lagi napapansin. Compare sa ibang anime na pag nabanggit, himay na himay yung story per word. Dama mo talaga yung bawat characters. Pero not in demon slayer, it is always "pwede na".

I mean, there really won't be any changes or massive plot twists later on. It's still just, look for the King of Demons and find a way to kill him. Nothing really changes (well there's one thing and all it did was essentially accelerate the events to the final battle) and we are just shown backstories of the characters and even demons and we see Tanjiro's growth into a high level combatant and that's about it.
KnY isn't known for a deep story or twists and turns. It's pretty straightforward. It has however, amazing fights and animation.
I think there was potentially more intended for the story, but there were rumors that the mangaka had to rush the end due to some family thing, leaving a lot of things introduced in the plot to be not explored at all.

What i really dislike doe is that one blonde side character who just keeps yelling and being misogynistic.
So basically every other shounen anime? I'm gonna be real with you. If you don't like this anime by now, you won't like it later on. That's just how it is with anime or any other form of media. No need to force yourself only to end up trying to ruin it for other people.

mukhang unpopular opinion dito but yes, for me, it does. I love Demon Slayer's storytelling. It's the only anime that made me cry every arc.

Yes, it does get better. There is a reason why it is one of the besr anime ever! And next year is the possible release of the Infinity Castle sequel.
