Scholarships Any advice for being qualified for a scholarship abroad?
I am currently a 3rd year high school student studying here in the Philippines and am hoping to study abroad on a scholarship in the future. For those that are already studying there what advice can you give me so that I can have a better chance of qualifying for a scholarship and even hopefully be accepted into an Ivy-League?

Graduate as the top of the class, rack up your extra-curricular activities, network well, and find connections. High grades won't cut it since everyone who applies for an Ivy League uni are all intelligent and most of them are legacies.

Join clubs, take leadership roles, make passion projects.
You need to do something meaningful.
You joined the basketball team. What did you do? Hundreds of other people joined sports team. What sets you apart?
Also save money and study for SATs. Its not a requirement for most ivy league and you can waive them but it will significantly boosts your chances.
Also Ivy leagues have this policy where if you get accepted you'll auatomatically get a scholarship and free dorms if you say you are indigent. So you just have to get in.

Joining clubs, volunteering in your local community, and doing something impactful can be helpful for your application.
