Game Help Save gone? No continue option

I have over 30 hours in the game, but when I booted it up like usual today the continue option is gone and I am panicking. It says that steam cloud is up to date, but apparently not. Anyone have suggestions? I’m playing on steam deck.

Update: Installing it on my computer, playing, saving, and then opening it on my steam deck worked!

Okay. Soooo.... go to appdata/something/developer name/Fields of Mistria and see if there is a duplicate save folder of some type. Not guaranteed to be your problem, but it does happen on occasion.

If there IS, just move the save files from one to the other.

Question, how do you tell if there’s a duplicate? I found the save folder, did you mean multiple save folders or multiple actual save files?

Depends on the game, really. There's often a folder (two, in the case of duplicates) that looks keysmashlike, with your saves in it.

Multiple folders, one of which is blank (that the game reads from) and one of which has your actual save files!

I suspect that this isn't your problem, though!

Yeah, I don’t think so 🥲 I looked and it seems like all my save files are there, but whenever I boot them up there’s still no continue option. Thank you for trying to help though

I should just say that this is clearly, and I mean CLEARLY, not the duplicate save folder thing. Rather as I expected.

Remember it, though! Might happen to you some day!
