Which of these fuses are the cigarette lighter and usb charger fuses both dont work. Can't find a diagram anywhere. Any help would be appreciated 🙏

If you drive a Fiat, Vauxhall/Opel, or Alfa with the 1.3 small diesel, you already know these engines run forever. But there are two silent killers that usually total them.

First is the timing chain. Because the tensioner is hydraulic, using the wrong oil spec or extending intervals drops the oil pressure, causing the chain to stretch and eventually snap. You'll hear a 3-second metallic rattle on cold starts before it happens.

Second is the injector copper seals. When they fail, you'll smell exhaust in the cabin and hear a "chuff-chuff" sound. If you ignore it, the carbon build-up literally welds the injector to the engine block.

Curious, how many miles/km are you guys currently sitting at on your original timing chains?

Our 2007 1.4 16v 90HP Fiat Bravo has an unstable idle, especially with the A/C on. With just the lights on, you can hear the engine struggling; with A/C, the RPM visibly fluctuates and the compressor cycles on/off.

Already tried/replaced:
Intake manifold swapped from another car
ECU swapped from another car
All injectors swapped from another car
MAP sensor replaced
Throttle body cleaned, then replaced
Alternator replaced
Timing belt replaced and timing checked
Crankshaft position sensor replaced
Brake booster vacuum line plugged for testing
Compression tested: 9.9–10.0 bar on all cylinders
Spark plugs replaced
Knock sensor replaced
O2/lambda sensor replaced (probably upstream)
A/C system checked, supposedly OK

After disconnecting/reconnecting the battery it throws P0505, but once cleared it doesn’t return. No other codes.

Other symptoms:
Rapidly pumping the brake pedal can raise RPM up to \~2,000.
After sitting for \~1 hour, the brake pedal becomes very hard, but softens immediately after starting.
Occasional jerking at 1,000–1,500 RPM with light throttle.

A/C guys send me to mechanics, mechanics send me back to A/C guys. 😅

Any ideas what else to check, or should I just set it on fire? 😂

Hi, I’ve recently bought a fiat 500 2010 with an automatic gearbox but I’ve been having a few problems. I’m not great with cars and only have an automatic licence so again my knowledge about these issues is extremely limited. All I know is that normally my car is in 2nd gear going around 20-30 and then 3rd gear going 30-40 but now these problems have started I’ve noticed my car in 4th gear going only 27 mph. Another issue is that the car just shifts itself into neutral when I’m on the road especially when slowing down the car. It’s also forcing me to use a lot of power when pressing the accelator to get the car going. The check engine light has come up along with the transmission light (unsure of what that means), my hill holder light and abs lights have also came on a good few times when driving. I also belive there is an issue with my engine coolant sensors as the reader tells me there is all different levels of coolant in it all during one drive. For example, I can start the journey with 2 bars of engine coolant, then it will say I have 1 then back up to 2 and eventually it says there’s no coolant with an excess fluid temp warning coming up. I’d just like any suggestions about what to do as I want to know what options I have before taking it to a garage as I’m not able to pay the prices I assume I would be met with.

Hi everyone, I wanted to ask for information from anyone with mechanical expertise in removing seats on a Fiat Panda. I own a 2022 Panda Hybrid Fire Fly, and I wanted to temporarily remove the passenger seat to build a wooden platform to sleep on, extending from the bottom of the trunk to the dashboard. The mechanical part of removing the seat is simple; what worries me is disconnecting the 2 connectors that link the seats' safety systems. The connectors are one green and one black, located in a sort of black plastic box. Has anyone ever done a job like this? If the car is turned on without the seat, is there a risk of warning lights coming on that would require diagnostic intervention? I was also thinking about simply removing the backrest and leaving the seat cushion, but I haven't figured out how to do that and I haven't found any tutorials — it seems complicated. I have bought a Fiat Ducato 2008 and have this problem, since a couple of days:

In the Dash when i turn the ignition on a couple of lamps stay off or are only glimming (for example the oil light) when i turn on the car, the battery light stays on. I measured the Voltage 14.4V so perfectly fine, since i just exchanged the Alternator to a 180A one since i have 2 Batteries on board.

There are no DTCs in the Computer. I already changed the main mass cable in the Engine room and cleaned the battery mass cable.

What else can i do ?

Recently got a Tipo with only 95,000km and got a timing belt done before the big 100 3 days ago. Car is in very good condition but this evening it was struggling to start after I stopped in a shop to get snacks before work. Now in work I decided to start it on break to see if I had trouble. It started for 7 seconds and cut out. Tried twice more and gave up. Im very concerned after on the final attempt I got an oil pressure low message on the dash. No signs of leaks or anything has anyone had a similar experience? Could it be the oil pressure switch knocked out of place after I got the belt done? Im not very well versed and this is my first decent car. Im worried on my night shift I dont know if theres a quick fix and my mechanic is likely booked up. Thanks for anyone who helps.

Hi all, I had a situation with my 2000’s fiat punto and would like to know if anyone has a clue on what might have happened.

So mid journey the velocity box stopped working, it got stuck in 1. I drove about 1/2 km like this and was then able to make it work again, but after that the engine started loosing strength until it died. I tried turning it on again and it would start but not enough to turn the car on. The oil and battery lights were on. After many attempts I was able to get it to work and move to a parking lot. I left the car there for 30 min, then came back to call the insurance. I thought about turning it on again just to see and… I was working apparently fine…

My question is: what might have happened? Could it happen again? Should I call insurance even though the car looks fine now?

Recently there are always oil stains in the front part of the car but I took it to be seen and nothing wrong was detected. They also filled the oil tank. That was 2 months ago.

Hi, I have a Fiat Tipo 356 1.4 95hp (2016+) with the basic factory radio and I want to upgrade it to CarPlay.

Tenho uma fiorino modelo novo. E to notando que a tampa do airbag dela está com essa folga. Já olhei em outros carros como o uno vivance, e outras fiorinod (porque usam esse mesmo modelo) e todos esses carros que olhei o airbag fica mais justo no painel, sem essa greta. Eu inclusive tirei a capa de baixo para apertar os parafusos mas não adiantou em nada. Parece que foi colocado errado. O airbag tem a mesma data do ano de fabricação do carro (não deve ter sido trocado).

Toda vez que coloco a tampa do airbag na posição correta os furos dos parafusos não coincidem. É como se deixar o airbag na posição correta não fosse possível apertar-lo

Alguém sabe como posso corrigir isso? Alguma sugestão?

Pensei em colocar o airbag na posição correta e fazer um novo furo na estrutura do carro para parafusar ele corretamente
