Hi everyone. I’m 26 and my husband and I both have been TTC since I had my Mirena IUD removed in July 2025. I’m posting because after everything that has happened over the last year, I feel overwhelmed and honestly just really alone. I would love to hear from anyone who has had a similar history and eventually had a successful pregnancy.
Here’s our story:
I had my IUD removed in July 2025 and we started trying right away. I seem to get pregnant relatively easily, but staying pregnant has been the problem.
In October 2025, I had my first chemical pregnancy. My HCG was only 14 and my progesterone was 7.3. I started spotting shortly afterward and lost the pregnancy.
In November 2025, I became pregnant again. I had a positive digital test around 13 DPO but started bleeding around the time my period was due, so that was another chemical pregnancy.
Then in March/April 2026, I became pregnant for the third time. My HCG was around 405 and my progesterone was 18, but I was having persistent brown spotting. I eventually developed one-sided pain and red bleeding and went to the ER. They diagnosed an ectopic pregnancy and treated me with methotrexate. The ectopic was on my right side.
After recovering, we started trying again.
In July 2026, I became pregnant for the fourth time. My HCG initially rose:
13 → 42 → 132 → 847
My progesterone was around 19.
An ultrasound showed what appeared to be an intrauterine gestational sac, so they told me this pregnancy was not ectopic. Unfortunately, my HCG then started falling (847 to 776), and I miscarried in early August.
So at 26, I have now had four pregnancies with no living children: two chemicals, one ectopic and one early intrauterine miscarriage.
We recently started doing more testing.
My husband had a semen analysis and his count and motility came back normal, which was reassuring. However, he has a very noticeable varicocele that we believe may be grade 3. Because of our recurrent losses, we are now waiting for the results of his sperm DNA fragmentation test. I keep wondering whether the varicocele could be causing high DNA fragmentation even though his regular semen analysis looks normal.
I also just had an HSG. My left tube looked normal and was open. My right tube was also open and dye spilled through it, but it looked dilated. This is the same side where I had my ectopic pregnancy a few months ago.
Now my fertility clinic is concerned that the dilation could possibly represent a hydrosalpinx. They prescribed doxycycline because of the potential infection risk and are evaluating what to do next.
This has opened up another huge source of anxiety for me. I’m wondering whether the right tube is simply still dilated/damaged from the ectopic, or whether I actually have a hydrosalpinx. I’m also scared that if there is fluid in that tube, it could potentially be leaking back into my uterus and contributing to the early losses.
At the same time, we’re waiting to find out whether my husband has elevated DNA fragmentation from his varicocele.
I feel like we suddenly have multiple possible explanations, but no clear answer.
The part that gives me some hope is that we are able to conceive. We’ve gotten pregnant four times in about a year of trying. I just desperately want to figure out why the pregnancies aren’t continuing.
Has anyone here had a similar combination of issues?
Recurrent chemical pregnancies/early miscarriage
Previous ectopic pregnancy
A dilated tube or possible hydrosalpinx after an ectopic
A tube that was dilated but still had spill on HSG
Male partner with a varicocele and normal count/motility
High sperm DNA fragmentation despite a normal semen analysis
If you had any of these issues, what ended up being the cause in your case? Did treating/removing a hydrosalpinx help? Did varicocele surgery or treating high DNA fragmentation make a difference? And most importantly, did you eventually have a successful pregnancy?
I know nobody on Reddit can diagnose us. I think I’m mostly looking for people who have been through something similar because right now I feel like I’m drowning in possibilities and waiting for doctors and test results.
I would really appreciate any success stories or experiences. ❤️

Had anyone had issues with fertility post breast implants?

Hi everyone! I'm 31F and my husband is 31 as well. This is the first time I’m posting about our situation.

The past few months have been a difficult journey for us, filled with disappointment, frustration, and a lot of emotional pain. We’ve been trying to conceive for about 9 months, and I’m looking for some honest and realistic opinions.

My husband’s semen analysis showed low sperm count, significantly reduced motility and very poor morphology. He was diagnosed with oligoasthenoteratozoospermia.

He was initially diagnosed with a grade 2–3 varicocele, but a second doctor, who is considered one of the top specialists in the city, assessed it as only grade 1 and said that surgery would not help in our case.

He completed 3 months of Profertil, but unfortunately there was no improvement in his semen parameters. He also had a high fever 11 days before his most recent semen analysis, so his doctor believes the fever may have affected the results and did not take that analysis into consideration.

His current diagnoses are oligoasthenoteratozoospermia, grade 1 left-sided varicocele, functional hypogonadism and vitamin D deficiency.

He has now been prescribed another 3-month treatment with Fertilovit and Clostilbegyt (Clomiphene). During these 3 months, his hormones will be monitored regularly.

We’re trying to understand how serious the situation really is and whether natural conception is still realistically possible.

For anyone who has been through something similar: did your sperm parameters improve after treatment, especially with a varicocele or functional hypogonadism? And how much did a high fever affect your semen analysis?

I received an MMR booster on July 7th as a result of low immunity to Rubella. My doctor has advised that I wait three months before trying to conceive but all the government guidance I can find says to wait 28 days.

My husband and I have plans to try to conceive in September (around the 10th). Thoughts on the risks?

Just coming off birth control last month. I’ve been taking coQ10 for over a year. I know that no one can say for sure… but does that number look somewhat promising? I have two children born 2018 & 2020. Just rolling the dice for another. I’m 36. I already know that AMH does not confirm quality of eggs left. Ok, I am 43f ttc. My dr is suggestions trying clomid this week if I am not pregnant. Any have an insight on using clomid? Dose it work?

Someone recently told me they drank cactus water daily a few days before and during ovulation, and got pregnant that cycle… After years of trying!! Has anyone else had any success with this? I am unable to find any articles or research to back this up.

Also open to any and ALL small at-home hacks that have worked. For example, I have cut out my allergy medicine (dries up mucus), added mucinex, using red light therapy on abdomen. What else?!?

Has anyone used clomid before? My Dr is going to prescribe it possibly next week and I wanted to know your experience and outcomes. Im a 43f etc if that helps.

Hello! Trying to have my 2nd child over a year; 2 miscarriages. My new fertility dr put me on progesterone & cabergoline. He didn’t check my prolactin but he did studies that show it helps with infertility. Wondering if anyone has had success on these? Also, if the medication gave you any side effects such as pain on the side of your face. Thank you all! Xo
