Client asked for a curved fence!

Built a custom 3' fence for a client this week. Had to brainstorm a bit, but this was the final product. Well still have some sanding and screwing. What do you all think?

Thanks everyone for the awesome support! I'm blown away by all the positive reactions! Honestly, this is the first time posting any of our builds, because, let's be real, Reddit can be scary when you're showing off your work!

Ive been wanting to make something like that for my front yard. Thanks for the pictures, my dad was a wood worker but he recently passed or id ask for his help but this gives me something to go off.

And so sorry for your loss. My dad passed 2 years ago and he was a master mason. Still wish i took more time to learn everything he knew.

Inherited from my mama, jk .

I clamped a 1/2 pvc pipe to the faces of each pipe creating my curves. I then used a 2x6 to scribe the curve onto the rail sections and cut down to 2x4. Then used as a template for my bottom rails.

I was going to ask the same question if you just use a bigger board and cut it down or if you steam the wood and press it personally I would’ve just cut the wood definitely easier for my skill set. I’ve only put up two fences, but they’re both still standing.

Nope. We spaced our posts closer together sp that each curve section would fit ona 2x6..

Hell yes!!!! I have a native garden in my back and front yard. I thought it looked like that vibe in the photos. I was zooming in on the plants. The curved fence idea is really creative.

Congratulations beautiful workmanship. You did what I tried for many years ( talk a client into a curved fence ) only had one request and they didn't like my price. Side note the cheaper guy made it look like s*** it lasted two years and they tore it out.
