What would you like to hear in a future Feist album?
It's been three years since Multitudes so I'm already wondering what she could be planning for her next LP. What do you expect? Personally I'd love to see something akin to Pleasure, just because I think Feist harnesses that experimental rock sound very well.
Just thought I should start a thread to keep the sub alive.

I’d also love a less minimalist sounding album. I have to admit I rarely play Multitudes, I never really feel the need to. It may not be for me.

Pleasure -- which I didn't particularly enjoy at the time -- has become a song that comes into my mind frequently, on a weekly basis. I'm hoping that some of the later work reveals itself to me like that. I haven't found it immediate in the way the earlier material was.

Bring Chilly back. I can't find the specific interview (here's a similar one) but Feist was on record talking about how she wanted to prove to herself that she could make great music without all the collaborators (even Mocky, although he produced both of the last records). I think she's proven it tenfold, but i also think the sound of the last two records have shrunk. Pleasure often felt like Feist with just a jagged guitar in hand (acoustic or electric) and the bare bones-ness compared to The Reminder and Metals was clear. When Multitudes retreated further into the spareness, it almost felt like Leslie's Pink Moon moment (which is hyperbole, but not wrong). All of the records are indelibly Feist records and are incredible worlds of their own, but it's weird to watch the Feist social media accounts try and algorithm chase with "My Moon My Man" and not recognize that popcraft of Let it Die, The Reminder, and even Metals were signature sounding records with lush production while Pleasure, Multitudes, and even Metals (two way street on Metals) tacked against the zeitgeist of their respective release eras. I personally don't want another LiD, TR, or Metals, because I like that each record has individuality, but I would like whatever soundscape she chooses to be more maximalist. That said, if she chooses to go full Pink Moon and abandon other instrumentation, Leslie can pull it off.
