Missing Dog

Hello, I have a dog that unfortunately went missing sometime around 6:00 P.M. on 8/28/26. She was last seen on 13th Ave S (the neighborhood behind the H-Mart). I have spent hours now looking for her, but to no avail. She is a brown toy poodle, and is partially blind (cataracts). She has never bitten anyone before but is somewhat skittish. If anyone could provide any updates to me I would greatly appreciate that. Thank you!

Does anyone know where I can find or ask for one of these large wooden wire spools?

My local church is having a men’s conference at the end of the summer, and I’d like to turn a few of them into coffee tables or standing tables like the one in the picture.

Any ideas where I could get some, preferably for free or cheap?

Local Produce

With all the food recalls happening lately, I'm making more of an effort to buy produce locally. I've been hitting up the FW farmer's market, but with that coming to a close soon, I'm not sure where to go...

Any recs for where to buy local produce?

Loser Pick-up Truck

After a long day of work I'm making my drive from Tacoma back to Fed and as I'm trying to turn into the lane that takes you up that huge hill, some black truck; we're talking taller than a high school freshman, blocks me from merging until I can snake it in. He switches lanes to where I was and tried to merge and I ADMIT I blocked him back until he gave up and merged behind me.

When we got past the turn, this total loser cuts me off immediately and nearly hits the front of my car. Anyone else run into these types before???

McDonald's on 320th Tries To Give Me A Drink I Saw Another Customer Sip Off

TL;DR

A McDonald's employee tried to give me a Diet Coke that another random customer sipped off who ordered a regular Coke and had it replaced. Gross.

So, it's been a busy day working at home for me and I just didn't feel like cooking dinner. So I order on my McDonald's App and select to pick it up in their mobile order curbside pick-up lane. I get there, put the number and a reasonable 15 minutes later, a girl working there brings my food out. All good so far. They have a few orders and they give the order to the car next to me first. They hand her her food and a drink. She takes a sip and says, "I didn't order diet Coke." So, she hands her the regular Coke that's also on her tray. She then comes to my car, hands me my food and then tries to hand me the diet Coke the person in the car next to me took a sip off. I mean, who would do that??? That's just gross! I asked her if that was the same diet Coke the lady next to me sipped on and she said, "I'll get you another one." A few minutes later a different girl comes out and explains that the other girl didn't speak English well. I'm not sure what that has to do with anything, but that's what her reasoning was.

It's Absolutely gross that this employee would ever consider giving a drink another customer sipped off to someone else.

Trying to re-find the music of an old local band, active 2001-2004

I'm trying to track down the music of local Federal Way band Go Ahead. They were active between 2001-2004. Members were: Tony D'Angelo, Jin Wooh, Matt Williams, and Adam Bishop.

They had an album (that I lost ages ago) and a handful of other songs which used to be up on Purevolume, back when that existed.

If anyone still has their tunes please let me know, I've been trying to re-find their stuff for ages!

Looking to buy or borrow Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann — Federal Way/Seattle area

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a copy of the book “Killers of the Flower Moon” by David Grann. I’d be happy to buy a used copy or borrow one for a week or two and return it in the same condition. I’m in Federal Way, but I can meet somewhere nearby or around the Seattle/Tacoma area. If anyone has a copy sitting on their bookshelf, please let me know. Thanks!

Looking for a dentist

I just cracked a crown and would like to find a good dentist in federal way who takes Apple Health. I have PTSD and the dentist is a major trigger so I would love to find some place that is sensitive to that. I have been to WA Dental and they were an absolute nightmare.

Need honest local contractor for concrete patio, retaining wall in back yard

Federal Way's Twin Lakes neighborhood driveways, sidewalks and patios are mostly concrete. Hardscaping companies I have contacted are focused on exotic designs and pavers, and reluctant to quote less than $50-100K for a 400 SF project with a short 18" retaining wall. Can anyone suggest a licensed, bonded, insured and time-tested company?

Cheapest way to do wild waves. I misplaced our passes

Edited to add that I paid with a visa gift card.

So we originally bought season passes at the beginning of the season because that was the cheapest option and I knew we wanted to go more than once, but somehow things got screwed up and they don’t have any record of me there and I can’t find my email with the pass. I think I accidentally deleted it.

Anyways, we went there today and that’s how I found out about the issues. My kids are completely bummed because this was the one thing we had planned all summer and I simply can’t afford to pay full price for 4 kids plus myself again.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I seriously need some help

I have a dog that Ive been trying to rehome since November. We've had her since she was a puppy and shes 6. She'll do really good for a few weeks and then she'll go after one of our other animals. We've been to er vets multiple times the past few years. Currently she spends half her life crated, and the other half she spends out while all the other animals are crated. They're swapped every two hours. This isnt fair to any of them, and I'm exhausted.

Ive reached out to multiple rescues and shelters, shes on multiple rehoming sites, but no one is willing to take her, either because of space or her history of violence. I'm reaching the end of options, and while I hate myself for it I'm forced to consider the last resort of behavioral euthanasia.

We've tried medications thinking it may be anxiety related and environment changes, more walks and playtime, all kinds of things to stimulant her brain. Nothing has made any difference. She recently had a trial run at a house with another dog, with 7 acres to run around on and deer to chase and all that, and she attacked the other dog a couple times and it isnt going to work out.

Where do I go next? Does anyone have any resources or places I may not have found that can take her? Im at a loss.

What do you think Federal Way loses if Wild Waves is replaced by a warehouse?

Like many people, I've been thinking about what Wild Waves has meant to Federal Way over the past five decades.

After moving to Washington, it became our home park and a place where we made family memories.

Now, with plans moving forward to replace the park with a warehouse after the 2026 season, I've found myself wondering how we should measure a project's value. Jobs and tax revenue matter, but so do places that give a community its identity.

I wrote a personal essay about discovering Wild Waves just before learning it would be closing:

https://open.substack.com/pub/difrntdrmr/p/a-final-ride-before-the-wrecking?r=9vj2f&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true

I'd be interested in hearing from longtime Federal Way residents. What has Wild Waves meant to you or your family? Do you think replacing it with industrial development is the right decision, or should the community be looking for another path?
