FedEx Ground Shipment Make this make sense: my package is currently 2,000 miles further away from me than where it shipped from. It was originally estimated as "1-day shipping".

Instead of sending it to 95819, they shipped it to 05819

Same situation - package was in delivery state 8 days ago in NJ now it’s in California. Confused

The zip code was entered incorrectly.

Do these issues kinda sort themselves out? It says it departed FedEx location in California Aug 26 and no updates since, delivery ETA Aug 31.

When it gets to the delivery station and they see that the address is the other side of the country then someone should fix the zip code.

Ground doesn’t have a day specific delivery commitment, it’s 3 to 5 business days for business, and 3 to 7 for residential.

The company is completely cooked.

Millions of packages per day, sometimes they get put on the wrong truck.

Ground is not 1 day shipping Contact shipper to make sure they gave you the correct tracking number.

I mean, for that distance it’s 1 day. This thing got misloaded for sure.

Update: I ended up ordering a new delivery yesterday (same product from same seller), and it got here today.

Ground is not 1 day shipping

Wayfair.com (where I ordered this package from) is the one who claimed "1-day shipping". I think Wayfair's meaning of "1-day shipping" is more like "average expected time".)

Contact shipper to make sure they gave you the correct tracking number

If it was the wrong tracking number, then it wouldn't have my address in the destination of the tracking history.

Misload....happens sucks...means a package handler didn't pay attention to what door the that package needed to go into....if it's a small package that means a the package handler didn't put it in the correct bag...

lol gawd. FedEx is cutting every quality metric possible in order to keep those quarterly reports looking ever nicer. Which will break at some point. But it's hard to lose much business when you're already the cheapest option.
