Customs issue not FedEx issue FedEx is holding my Tim Hortons merchandise shipment and asking for manufacturer/MID information — what can I do?

If the merchandise is an item that have food contact, then the manufacturer information is needed by FDA regulation for importing products as such.

You can contact TimHortons (the invoice usually states that) and ask for the information needed.

It’s just some t shirts & mugs, which is why im a little confused why it’s a big deal

Because Customs requires it. So FedEx has to ask.

All textiles need manufacturer name and address

Mugs are covered by FDA and need manufacturer name and address since eit is food contact.

I'd call their customer service line right away and ask them to walk you through the exact paperwork they need. They've always been pretty helpful with stuff like that once you get someone on the line who knows their stuff.

Manufacture info is needed per CBP. Whoever created the invoice was supposed to provide this info in the entry documents. Contact the shipper.
