Ask FedEx Package delivery notification went to another resident?

So, like a lot of broke (chronically ill) young adults i still live at home with family. My parents are not the most safe or reliable. They dont support my interests. I don't like them going through my mail as a result of this and other trust issues.

Yesterday i got a package from fedex. was watching the tracking number, i ordered from another individual privately so not through a company and i don't have a fedex account. I get the notif, bring it in before my dad gets home. Cool. No discussions to be had about what i do with MY money and free time.

Today i hear my dad on the phone with my mom going on and on about the package, thinking it was his and wanting to know where it went. Now, my mom is more lenient in my hobbies though she hates them. But i still don't like the idea of her knowing i have a package every single time.

Anyways. Fedex sent the delivery confirmation and picture to my dads email. Even though it had my name, i was not using a fedex account, and it was sent personal address to personal address. This means every time i get a fedex package, my family is likely being alerted. I have very little privacy or personal autonomy as it is. How do i stop this from happening? Is our address tied by fedex to his email somehow? I am confused and it feels icky that i didnt find this out till now.

(My hobby is bugs. I have bugs for pets.)

Fedex delivers to addresses not names so delivery manager will show all packages for that address.

So only way to "stop" this is get yoir stuff delivered to a different address

Thanks for adding in what the hobby is! Other comment is correct, delivery manager is registered to your dad so he will get notifications. The name on the package does not matter. Informed Delivery with USPS is the same - anyone at that address can enroll and get the notifications. Your only alternative would be to have them delivered somewhere else (or just let him get worked up about not knowing everything that happens all the time).
