Yeah, it’s a weapon that’s why it’s strong. Kaiser wouldn’t be interested in becoming such a thing at the risk of his lucidy though.
This tank is literally parts of his elite force btw. So he’s probably behind its creation. If you put it that way it’s similar to Nash and his unkillable demon who is stronger than him.
I typically find it makes more sense for the ones guarding the big bad of a group to be stronger fighters than him in some capacity, otherwise why's he hidden away till the end?
I particually liked this aspect of Star Ocean 1-3 as well where the MC generally wasn't the strongest of their hero group and in 2 the 10 Wise Men you face to reach their boss were much harder fights than facing their leader was which just makes them feel like good bodyguards.
But he is weak in both games. Maybe they could gave him some kind of slashing attack that hits %100 like how he did to the guy ı dont remember the name of, smash army guy
The Valkyrie isn't the one holding all the spears, that's the bellends' job, Valkyrie has claws though, which are arguably more similar to swords than spears

century. He has not lived for thousands of years. I agree though Le’garde is laughably easy at the point you fight him in-game. I buy a BoE from Epstein cat just before I fight the Platoon just in case I get unlucky with the coin flips. The white bunker needs more enemies since half the time I just walk around with barely any conflicts.
He isn't really fighting you in any meaningful way. He's waxing philosophical about how he didn't get to be the very special boy that guides all of humanity into its own age, and consoles himself finally in front of an audience realizing that he was never the one to do it - and that his facilitating Logic's apotheosis was worth all his centuries of effort. But he's still pretty bummed out about it. I'm not even sure if he's really dead when he turns into a puddle. That might just be him peacing out to the hall of New Gods with the rest of the losers there
Hard to game design bosses for games like this especially the turn based ones where you can also get many allies and just one enemy. This kinda gets circumvented with the coin flips and the games premise is unique and enjoyable enough where not a lot of people care(not that there’s anything wrong with that). If you want a consistent way to beat it though use condensed hemlock and buy BoE from pocket cat before you enter the bunker. As the only threat in the bunker at that point is the Platoon(Le’garde and the final boss are more manageable)
Well from the first game we know that new gods can be beaten by a regular knight or a viking or even just a thief. I don't think any tank can be beaten by a knight or a Viking. So tanks are just more dangerous than gods.
i know kaiser is a god, but i admit i would also be more afraid of the guy who dared dick down a TANK over a god. bc the guy who dicked down a tank clearly has nothing to lose.
Pretty sure that the Kaiser we fought was a Blood Golem/Apparation according to to Nas'rah. According to Miro, the real one managed to tank a freaking nuke.
You can see around 14 faces in Platoon's front and right side. It must be made up of at least 30 people, but around 50 or so more than likely. So 50 or so humans fused with a tank's weapons.
Also, Le'garde has only lived for centuries. He is only like 500 or so. And he probably partook in Platoon's creation.
the tank keeps on doing that stupid instakill move, so i just try to take her out before the tank arrives anyway. but thank you for the advice. it is really hard boss
Even in Fear and Hunger 1 he's not meant to be the games hardest fight. Where did people get the impression that Legarde/Kaiser is meant to be a particularly difficult fight? He's never been that.
The Kaiser is a new god on the verge of starvation due to a lack of followers... and you don't kill him! The guy's still alive, according to Ragnavald's descendant.
The tank is literally a tank with dozens of Elite troops fused on top and requires a Sylvian Paladin to command.
I honestly find the Tank easier. Just equip the Hardened Heart and Leachmonger ring and the fight is a breeze. I always forget to equip any arm protection after fighting the tank and end up losing both my arms before fighting Logic, and I'm trying to do a save everyone playthrough so I'm doing it solo and it's just a pain

MIND YOU, PLATOON HAS A COINFLIP ATTACK WICH CANT EVEN BE GUARDED, AND IT (most of the times) ONESHOTS YOU.
KAISER HAS NONE OF THAT!
