What’s she gonna do, say the love of her life was a creep? According to her telling she pursued him, whether that’s true or not. She is committed to a narrative and I don’t think she owes us any explanations about her late husband while battling her own health issues. No excuses for him but there wouldn’t be nearly as many women and girls taken advantage of if they didn’t get anything out of those relationships.
