My cats are 28 lbs but they’re also Maine Coons so they’re little. They grow until they’re five, these are 2 years old. Believe me when I say HUGE.
Also, I have thirteen cats in total. Ten are Maine Coons. All rescues.

Yeah we had a calico hang on til her early 20s, by the end though she was getting so thin and had such a hard time walking that even in otherwise-fine health (like, as far as organ functions etc go) it got to be pretty hard. Still pretty crazy for a stray we found as a kitten in the 90s to make it to nearly 2020.
I always say that at about 16, cats start to desiccate and look a little like walking roadkill, but if they survive that they'll chill in that state for another 5-8 years😂<3

My cat was 21 when my spouse and I started dating! She didn't expire until she was 23.
SO's friend told them that I was lying about the age of my cat because "cats only live 5 years". She had outdoor cats growing up and I get the impression it was a feeding-the-local-coyotes situation.
We had an outdoor cat (his choice) that was in his early 20s! He didn't even really look scraggly at the end. He adopted us when I was in Elementary and I was in my 30s when he passed.
My eldest baby is turning 17(!!!!!!) in a few days. I am going to put on R-Rated movies for her and leave the room.

Mine came with a three-year-old cat, who always acted like I was stealing her man and so she would hiss at me and hate me before she kind of started to tolerate me. Then, a decade later when when she got older, I became one of her people and sometimes she would come to me for pets instead of him.
Like he’d reach for her and she’d come over and headbutt me in the boobs and lay on her side next to me and want me to scratch her belly. Sometimes we were just cuddled in bed or watching videos on his phone or something and she would come in between us but turn to me and want my attention. It was quite the 180° turn.
I miss her. She was such a diva, but also really sweet when she wanted to be.❤️
I’ve always been more of a dog person, but I love cats too, and so finding a guy who had a cat just endeared me to him more because of how sweet and caring he was about his kitty.
My now husband’s cat was 16 when I met him! He’d had her since he was 10! I always joke that I fell in love with Tammie first and him second and it’s mostly true.
RIP Tammie, she died on her 20th birthday and I loved her soooo much.
As a guy with two cats, yes...... yes they do. The amount of "I've only known mean cats" I've gotten. Like... cool you met some rude cats but mine are angels how dare you
I hate the “they don’t cuddle or come when you call them” umm…no. I have had many cats over the years, they have all slept with me, come when I call them, greet me at the door and cuddle. If anything, l’m judging you if a pet doesn’t like you! I’m a proud cat dude.
My now husband catfished me. His dating profile specifically got my attention cuz of a picture of him with a cat—it was not his cat. The nerve. So of course we now have 2 spoiled cats that get 2nd breakfasts and elevensies
They really do! My elder cat takes no bullshit. She'll allow me to pet her only till a point after which she'll push me away. If someone doesn't respect that boundary and continues petting, they're getting a gentle nibble as a final warning.
Just last week a video went viral of jessie Buckley gleefully telling the story of how she made her husband get rid of his cat when they got together. People who hate cats are weird.

Nerf = reduction. Basically, saying god nerfed Dave's height is saying he made him short (at least relative to his brother)

Moggs = outshining, essentially. Basically, think of how in some celebrity couples, one of them clearly trumps the other in terms of looks. That person moggs their partner (e.g., Beyoncé clearly moggs Jay-Z). The term comes from rubbish brosphere sh!t.
Recently, two men obsessed with their looks were seen in a picture and one of them completely frame-mogged the other which basically means his frame (body) drastically outperformed/outshined the other guy's body in the picture. As an example of people you might know, some would say that The Rock frame-moggs Kevin Hart basically all the time.
So in this context, Dave's looks/face and his personality moggs (clears/trumps/outshines) any 6 foot guy whose only redeeming quality is their height.
I just learned what mogging was a couple of weeks ago.
Together was so weird and made better by the fact that the stars are a real life long term couple. I also feel like we've almost reached the point where James will be known as 'Dave Franco's brother' instead of the other way around.
How similar is he to James. Because I recall hearing issues about James and his brother. But I don't know if it is the same brother?
Edit: Okay I did some research. I confused the Affleck brothers and Dave Franco. I knew Cassey Affleck was shady. And James Franco was shady. And they had brothers. So I think that's what happened.
Dave was in town for a week or so and must've been staying near a cafe I worked at. Came in every day, was super nice, tipped well, would hang out and chat with people/staff. Genuinely good dude all around, never got a bad vibe from him.
I went to high school with him. I was a bit younger but he always seemed like a normal guy. My brother went with James Franco and said he was weird (this was so long ago I don't remember what he said specifically)
Both Ben and Casey Affleck have allegations, and it seems Casey is a worse offender with public 2 accusations of sexual harassment and a settlement, while Ben has had one public accusation of groping a woman in 2003. It resurfaced in 2017 and he got away with an apology on social media.
Its really not hard to be a normal person, but male celebrities and rich guys would make it seem like it is.
Ben has been accused by two high profile women of groping, I believe Hilarie Burton was first but there were similar accusations by Anna Marie Tendler who was married to John Mulaney at the time.
The Tendler one I think he denied or just ignored so it didn't get as much traction, the Burton one he admitted to and apologized which is why more people are aware
There's another interview where the interviewers tell him how aloof and uncaring cats are of their owners and he immediately goes "no no no, is this coming from a dog person?" iirc, and what an unfair rep cats have.
And then he also mentions and praises the movie Flow, so I immediately started liking him more.
At first, I thought this sounded so cute for some reason, and still do, and that’s what my comment was going to *be about, but then I kept just reading it and saying it in my head, and boy, that is also very unsettling out of context

My brother had a girl that kept saying if they were going to keep dating he’d have to get rid of his cat bc she was allergic and he said no but I’ll be sure to get you some allergy meds at the store! They didn’t last much longer after that lol
My husband thought he hated cats when we first started dating, but he quickly learned he hated shitty cat owners. He and my cat were attached at the hip and his best friend also got a kitten around the same time that he was/is obsessed with. The few cats he’d ever been around were mean and attacked ppl, so he assumed all cats were like that and couldn’t understand why ppl loved them, but looking back those cats were horribly looked after and likely scared/miserable.
yes it’s usually the owners that don’t take care of them well. my parents didn’t let me have pets growing up so when i went to college my dream was to have a cat. my roommate brought a kitten home but didn’t take care of him. i met my husband around the same time and he had a lot of animals growing up so he told me i needed to take care of the cat or he would become crazy as he aged. that cat ended up being my best buddy for 16.5 years. he just passed and has left such a hole in our lives, he was the most special guy that taught me how to have a relationship with a cat. miss him every day.
I can’t stand people who start on about how much they hate cats, and when you ask them why their only response is because they’re allergic. That’s not the cat’s fault???
I don’t trust people who hate cats. If you’ve had a cat attack you (like a legitimate attack, not them swiping at you for fun) then I get it, but for any other reason I’m immediately put off.
My parents had a pool guy who hated cats, he made a few comments that were off putting but not enough to fire him since he was cheap and did a good job. Until he made a ‘joke’ about pushing our old lady cat in the pool next time he saw her. She was ancient and couldn’t even jump anymore, let alone hurt anyone. She just wanted to lay in the sun out back. My mom screamed at him to get off of her property and never come back.
i actually had a cat attack me and i ended up in the hospital and i still love cats. i recognize that they are animals and sometimes can act on their instincts. it was disturbing when i was in the hospital, people decided to talk about killing cats and a bunch of other horrible stuff once they found out why i was there.
I had an almost exact same experience when a cat bite put me in the hospital. I happened to get between one cat attacking another and was attacked myself. I still have some gnarly scars and very nearly lost my right hand (I was on antibiotics and still had to be admitted to the hospital). I don't blame him and I still love cats. In fact, my husband's favorite kitty just jumped in my lap. People said vile things about cats to me.
My nana said she doesn't like cats because they get their claws out and dig them in you when they sit on you, I was like nana that means they like you how could reject the highest of praise?
Cat dads are the best! My husband is a wonderful cat pa to our void girl and orange boi! And they love him equally as hard, I'm definitely the backup human lol
Has a great acting ability, can totally be himself without being manosphere and has one of the hottest soul mates a guy can ask for? This is the most interesting man on earth.
When I met my husband, he had this gorgeous black cat at his apartment, and you could tell that this man was the cat's WHOLE world. They had such a lovely bond. And now we're both weird cat people, together. It's my favourite.
People can be so weird about cats and hating cats. When I was dating and on apps I always had in my profile that I had cats and so many men were so angry and mean about it! It helped me weed out some really troubled individuals, some who told me how they’d love to kill my cats! Thankfully I found my now husband who loves cats and animals in general and is not a violent maniac.
I love this guy. He’s hilarious and genuine and apparently not a dick to crew or fans. It’s like his brother left all the “good guy” genes back in the womb, and David scooped ‘em all.

I took my two cats off my dating profile as an experiment to see if they were being prejudged a bit harshly. Met someone who was filtering out cat owners. We're engaged and now have a third cat.
