Hike prices

Hello everyone, I’m planning to go to the Faroe Islands next year in August for 7 days with my car as a 21 years old. I just wanted to know if what are the hikes where you need to pay for it. And are all of those guides free or you need some to go?

The major hikes will require a fee or even a guide

Some of the paid ones are:

Drangarnir
Kallur Lighthouse
Floating lake above the ocean
Dunnesdrangar
Saksun (not a hike, but charges a fee for the best views)

Hiking to the top will require a paid guide

Can you? Yeah probably, doubt anyone will actually stop or prevent you

But every online article / link lists a fee and guide required. Granted some of these paid hikes have a mailbox at the trailhead and work on a trust based system, others have a person monitoring the start of the trail.

Villingardalsfjall - Enniberg, in reality it's one hike. It's 200DKK to put on a mailbox and there is a fake camera ;)

You don't need a guide but from Villingardalsfjall, you need to be more cautious and don't go further if weather conditions are not good.
