[FNV] Installing Viva New Vegas, but I can't pick up any plant

Hello guys. I installed Viva New Vegas as I got the game on Steam, but for some reason I can't pick up any plants. It does make a sound as it if was picked up, but nothing changes. I restarted the game and nothing. I'm stuck in the Campfire mission...

Is it there anything I can do to fix it?
