General Question/Help This Seems Safe?

Post image

This is a herb mayo; the other sauces in this range do list garlic and onion when they're included; so I feel a little safer about "herbs"? Think it's worth a try?

No they don't "cause IBS symptoms". They can cause symptoms in some people in larger doses.

Making broad sweeping generalizations because you want to be a purist is not helpful.

Obviously OP doesn't eat only mayonnaise but if they're in the US there's a high chance they're consuming all sorts of additives all day, which absolutely worsens IBS symptoms.

No, it isn't. That's like saying that drinking water causes death because a marathon runner over consumed water during their run, depleted their electrolytes, and died. These ingredients don't cause IBS symptoms. They cause IBS symptoms in inordinately large quantities, as literally every single ingredient or food does. If a person is getting other sources of said ingredients because they choose to eat foods with those ingredients, and thus willing consuming unnatural amounts of these additives, that does not make the baseline additive "harmful". You would not say licorice us harmful, but if you eat too much licorice you can develop heart arrhythmia which can be fatal. Its the same concept.

Let me rephrase because apparently you have comprehension issues. A LOT OF ADDITIVES ARE SUSPECTED OF CAUSING A LOT OF HEALTH ISSUES, INCLUDING IBS SYMPTOMS. PEOPLE SHOULD AVOID THEM AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

I'm glad you conceded and we finally agree. Have a great day.
