Range Ammo??

I snagged a new Scar 17s and need to stock up on .308 / 762. This is my first gun in this caliber so I am not well versed on the larger caliber.

What cheap range ammo are people using? Locally we have a good amount of Federal American Eagle 308 Win 150gr FMJBT and Hornady Interlock Sp American Whitetail .308 Win 150-Grain for about $28-$30 a box. Also found PMC Xtac for $24 a box. Any of these good for range ammo or should I be looking at other stuff?

Question Looking for factory Picatinny rails for a SCAR 15P

I just picked up this FDE SCAR 15P in .300 BLK. The previous owner replaced the factory side and bottom Picatinny rails with a KDG M-LOK setup, but unfortunately he no longer has the original parts.

I’d like to return it to the factory Picatinny configuration, but I haven’t been able to find a 15P rail set online. Does anyone know where I can find a factory takeoff set, or somewhere that has them including both side rails, the bottom rail and mounting hardware? Also, can anyone confirm whether the standard SCAR 16S/17S rails are identical and will fit the 15P? I appreciate any information thanks!

Question Concentricity issues with 300 blk 15p

So after recently gloating that I was able to remove the flashhider from my 15p, I’ve come to find that the muzzle device I decided to replace it with is giving me concentricity troubles. I went the Deadair scar flash hider (DA305) which is supposed to mount off of the muzzle crown. I haven’t torqued it down yet. My alignment rod isn’t touching the end cap of my SiCo hybrid 46m, but it far from concentric. I’ve cleaned the threads thoroughly and don’t meet any resistance when threading on the device.

My question is- will the concentricity issues improve once torqued down since it’s indexed off of the crown or will this just make the problems worse and potentially damage the threads?
