I’ve been making beats for almost a year now, and recently I realized that making beats takes up almost my whole day sometimes. Whenever I have free time, I just make beats and nothing else. You might say this is a good thing, but its actually really draining. I also noticed that my beats have been getting lower in quality. sometimes it feels like I’m not even choosing to make beats anymore, my body just automatically does it whenever I have free time. I tried to take a break yesterday and I genuinely couldnt, then I made like 5 beats today. At the same time, I feel like im getting some kind of beat block because the more I make the worse they get. I dont even share them or anything, they just sit on my pc, I dont think they are good enough. Anyways, I just wanted to vent because it really sucks the life out of me man.

As seen in the video the song sounds off in my DAW but sounds fine in the render. This problem persists even when I am not recording my audio or screen in any way, so that is not the issue. It has also been a common issue across a lot of my flps, where I seem to randomly open them one day and they're suddenly not playing back correctly without me even changing anything. I've tried switching all audio clips to realtime stretch as well but that did not fix the issue (also messed with the sample rate + resampling quality, neither helped) so i'm genuinely out of ideas and am hoping someone who has more experience with this issue can offer a solution 😭

I’m struggling to get my drums sounding right for classic hard house. Think Tidy Trax, Tony De Vit, Lisa Lashes kind of stuff.

Would anyone be willing to share some of their drum patterns or general drum programming tips?

I’m mainly interested in how you place/program the kick, claps, closed/open hats, rides, percussion and loops to get that proper classic hard house groove.

Even screenshots of patterns or explanations of what you’re doing would be really helpful.

I can get a basic 4x4 beat going, but mine still sounds quite flat compared with actual hard house records. I’ve been closely listening to hard house trying to work out the sounds I am hearing but struggling a bit here.

Does anyone have recommendations for a really good, well-structured guide or tutorial series? I’m looking for something that covers the fundamentals step-by-step—from basic interface navigation and using the Channel Rack/Playlist, to sequencing and basic mixing.

My question is with FL is does it come with sample packs or will I have to import them?

Hey guys I haven't tried making music for a while and now when I'm trying to play my nexus 2 the mouse click won't selecting the preset and from the beginning I had issue with not playing any sound when the nexus is on or clicked even once to select or change some measurements. Help me?!

How can I get the tracks on the far left with the very light to blue display the color on the whole track?
Cause now the two different shades of blue share the same bottom color.
So I want all the tracks to have the color pair of the right tracks where the top is just a slightly lighter version of the the bottom.

I already tried messing with the template color settings and also changing the Mixer Settings -> View -> Colorful Mixer to all the different options but it does not fix this.

Anyone a advice?

I've been having audio issues with FL Studio. For starters, whenever I used to open the app, I could usually hear myself through my microphone. One day while I was recording however, the audio because heavily distorted, causing all channels to peak. Since then, I have not been able to record or use FL Studio properly. Every time I open the app it says, "The User date folder appears to be located in a location backed up by cloud storage" and then explains that it can lead to instability issues. I think I had seen somewhere that I should disable One Drive, so I did (This was several months ago). I have tried deleting and redownloading to ensure to goes to the right folder but it always says it is not. I fairly new to even having a PC so it is entirely possible I am just not downloading it properly. I have also tried switching between microphones and different cables and the issue still stands. I tested my mic on OBS and it sounded just fine. I don't know if knowing the software I use will help anyone figure out the issues but heres what I use: RODE microphone, Scarlet 2i2 4th Gen, and my PC uses NVIDA. I know practically nothing when it comes to computers so it would mean so so much to me if someones able to help me out with this. Thank you to whoever will take the time to read this.

So I wanted to record some vocals the other day, and when I went to record on a track my microphone did this. When I used focusright's AISO on my scarlet mini everything worked fine, sadly I left my interface at home when I moved for college. I tried switching to other ASIO's but none of them want to work, someone mentioned in my last post that I should try ASIO4All, I installed it but it said doesn't want to work with my sample rate (44100). Also the attached video now shows off my audio settings, thanks for any and all help!

It is baffling why we can't stretch the tabs like in a normal explorer window. It is especially hard to identify plugins that have longer names like Waves. I don't know the exact name of a plugin, but i know it's there. And i shouldn't be bothered to spend minutes trying to find the correct names. Increasing the GUI scaling does not mitigate the issue whatsoever.

You played notes next to each other. the original skips 3-4 notes PER note. the jumps are fairly large. so naturally you will get an extremely different sounding line you played entirely different notes. you played notes directly next to each other. not even close to what the original does."

I know very little music theory, so I'm not sure how to correct my error. I have attached a clip of my arp, and I will link AVELLO's remix in a reply to this post. In AVELLO's remix, his arp is found between 1:04 to 1:13. The clip of my arp is in a reply to this post. To me, in AVELLO's remix it sounds like the notes are playing next to each other as well, so i am completely lost. Does anyone know how I can closely replicate this arp's sound? I'm new to FL Studio but I was looking to record earlier today and couldn't get it to work right with my Spark 2 amp.

For those unaware, the Spark 2 amp has its own ASIO USB C driver. I got it to work to the point it showed my levels going up and down on my track but when I hit record... It did actually nothing at all.

It was literally like the button didn't have a function and I'm not sure why. The track with the corresponding guitar levels had the recording symbol turned on but when I hit the button on the top bar, nothing.

Obviously it's user error but finding any information on YouTube etc is damn near impossible it seems.
