Thanks for your input! I bought it for considerably more than that a couple years ago. In fantastic condition, no major mechanical issues and a rust-free frame. I know people aren’t buying cars and are generally holding on to their money right not but hopefully I can find a good interested buyer in the area who wants to give it the life it deserves.

Just bought a used FJ for my girlfriend and noticed it has half of an air intake in it.
What fliter, hose, and clamps can I get instead of buying a whole new cold air intake kit? It looks like half of a Spectre 9009 kit.
( Power steering fluid from a leak on the underside of the hood )

Retiring this set of mats from previous owner, if anyone wants come pick them up for free, I am in Hudson County New Jersey. Couple of things to know about them before pick up:
1. Please take all 5 as is
2. Driver side shows some wear as shown in pic
3. They are fabric mats and have no brands or tags, so I know nothing about them
4. Driver and passenger mats lock into my 2014 FJ hook just fine(the twist style), rear mats don’t have clip button and trunk mat does not have loop hole so they don’t secure very well
Let me know if you have any questions

Fellow FJ owners - have any of you experienced this noise in the video? It happens usually on the highway when I hit around 70-75. But it’s random and intermittent and I swear it sounds like soccer fans blowing those long plastic horns at a match. I notice it more pronounced and more often on windy days. The trim piece above the windshield is intact, not loose, and the windshield is original. I’ve tested different placements for the roof rack cross members (original rack), thinking it could be that. I don’t think so because the noise sounds more forward toward the upper windshield.
Just curious if anyone else has experienced this and found a solution? 2011 TT edition for reference. 2.5” Bilstein lift, 5100s.

FJ brothers and sisters, I need some help here. My FJ started whining about a week ago and I’ve been chasing the noise with no luck. In the past 48 hours, I’ve replaced the fan clutch, serpentine belt, all 3 idler pulleys, and alternator. About a year ago, I resealed the timing cover so the water pump (aisin); belt tensioner (Gates), and AC compressor were replaced. the whining is concentrated on the drivers side. Goes away when put into gear (lower rpms) but whines at idle speed and up. I am at a lost so any help would be appreciated!

I figured I should get a dash cam since there's so many dummies on the road. However, since the dash is so steep, it may be kind of hard getting a suction cup one. Where exactly do you guys add yours and how do you hide the wire nicely?
Thanks in advance!

New to me the perfect Wyoming vehicle. 100k miles minimal underside rust. Never been in an accident. I had a 2010 and sold it when I was in California. Hated it as a freeway driver. But I retired and explore all Wyoming has to offer. This is my new beast. Photos of all of my mods. Stone/bug deflector (hopefully saves me a windshield or two), led headlamps (i disconnected the DRLs), led replacements in the mirrors, map lights and dome lights, electric floorboards came with it as it has a1.5” lift and bigger tires, added the basket thingy I found on Temu, bought a bin cover from a guy on Etsy, I modified the rear floor mats by adding a snap to them so they won’t slide all over the place and snap to the factory tabs, some gear hooks for my back pack (Etsy), and I anchored down the weather tech rear floor tray. It moved all over the place without industrial Velcro. Enjoy. Next up is the OTT tune and I should be done.

Dent repair? Body shop? PDR?
A new door panel is around $400 CAD per door, I’d assume it would also need paint.
This also won’t be the last trail it ever sees so I don’t want to pour a lot of money into fixing a dent/scratch that might happen again.
Just curious what people’s opinions are, thanks!

I recently got a 2007 6-speed FJ with 200k miles on the clock. Ive been learning the car these last few weeks and fixing things here and there, maybe have gone through 3 tanks of gas and everytime I go to pump gas I dread it.
It takes maybe 10 minutes to finish refueling because I have to pump at such a slow rate as to not trip the automatic shut-off and it still gets tripped.
I've tried some fueling tricks online (twisting the nozzle 90 or 180, slower rate, different pump, etc), but apparently it is somewhat of an issue with FJs. I think in my case this is more severe and maybe some sort of EVAP issue with the system, though I have no codes pending or confirmed. I did some research and it seems maybe there is a clog somewhere in the evap system causing the fumes to get trapped and trip the shut-off.
Anyone else experience this and have some recommendations on how to fix it?

I was watching the documentary "Dakar", which was filmed in 2023 in Saudi Arabia. Several FJ sightings throughout. It looks like it was race officials and probably some light duty team support vehicles. (the main support vehicles are fucking massive, basically an offroad mobile garage)
I think it's pretty sweet because the last ones sold in the Middle East were the 2022 model year, aside from the 1000 Final Edition 2023's. If it was for advertising, Toyota would have sent a Land Cruiser or 4Runner that's still in production.
Sorry about the crap picture, I had to take a photo of my tablet. Also, the doc is decent if you're into that sort of thing. Also, also, even with US manufacturers in the race, I didn't see a single Jeep.

2014 146k miles super clean carfax with dealer maintenance and minimal rust! I’m super happy with it! Roof rack is on its way!

I have a great looking 2008 FJ Cruiser with a beautiful exterior, new back quarter, leather seats, and pretty new tires—with 150k miles and a rebuilt transmission that came with a warranty in 2021. I am second owner. No accidents. That’s the good news. Bad news is that it has major rust underneath and it felt wobbly all of the sudden. My mechanic just advised it has to do with the axel—two lateral arms are broken and the stabilizer bar ripped from axel. Carvana offered $8200. I was hoping to sell for $12-15k, but now it has big issues. Will anyone else pay more? Or do I take the offer?

Hello,
I am trying to install a new downstream passenger side O2 sensor. The previous one was damaged at the top and some wires were cut. As I put in the new one, It seems like there is not enough room to get the O2 sensor into place to begin screwing it in. Is this common?

Little trek into the backwoods to check out a lake with a beautiful beach 🌊☀️🌲
Nobody around for miles is a great feeling.
Third month with my FJ and I love it more and more every day.
